I glared lightly at the boy. His grin is making me question his plans.
“Best spit it out, Blaze.” I said in a low even tone.
His grin slowly faded to a thin line. Brow quirked and arms crossed, “You don’t trust me?”
“Quite frankly…no.” I shrugged nonchalantly.
“Ouch. Harsh much?”
“Why don’t you tell me what you’re planning?” I glared lightly; it was his turn to shrug. That stupid smirk came back.
“Isn’t it quite obvious? The Warriors wouldn’t kill a rare Warrior.”
I gave him a blank look, “Say what now? Well yeah, there’s only one Melody and it’s me!”
Blaze couldn’t help but laugh, “No, you idiot, what I mean is that there’s only one warrior for your Dragon.”
I blinked, face still blank. My Dragon never told me if she had any other Warriors for her. But then again, we hardly had talks that revolved around other people. Usually it was just about focusing on my newly attained powers. Huh, I wonder if she’ll tell me if she does have any other Warriors.
“What do you mean…?” Okay, now this boy has gotten me curious.
“What’s your Dragon, Mel?”
With curiosity gone, my old glare resurfaced. Blaze was taken aback by the sudden facial change. I promised my Dragon I would never tell until she told me so.
Melody, tell the boy.
But-
All will be well if you tell him.
Fine.
Blaze realized that I was speaking to my Dragon. “You’re speaking with your Dragon right now, aren't you?”
“Shut up.” I hissed. After a moment, I sighed. My front drooped and my shoulders sagged, “Her name is Metzli.”
Blaze’s stupid smirk turned into a soft smile, “Figures. My Dragon’s name is Sol.”
Ah..
Ah, what?
The Sun Warrior.
Okay?
Even you should have figured that out by now.
Sorry for not being so…observant.
Metzli cut the conversation short and I was able to come back to the world in Selythika. “You’re a Sun Warrior.”
Blaze gave a toothy grin and a nod, his hands poised at his hips. “Yep! Finally took you awhile to figure that out huh?”
I rolled my eyes at him. “Okay so what’s the big deal about that?”
Blaze just chuckled and shook his head, “There’s only one Sun and Moon Warrior. Our Dragons only pick one every so often and well here we are!”
“What…?” I looked at him in a confused manner. He was making no sense.
There is much that I need to explain.
…Yes, yes you do.
“I guess you didn’t know…?” Blaze asked hesitantly.
I came back into focus and nodded slowly. “Yeah…sorry, busy talking to my Dragon here.”
Blaze couldn’t help but laugh, “Would you like me to explain you everything?”
I took a moment to think it over. I could either have some one on one time with Metzli or I can spend some of my last moments with Blaze. Hm…
