D: IM SORRY I HAVENT BEEN UPLOADING
-----
“HIM?!” I asked disbelievingly.
My brothers looked down at me with an eyebrow raised. I huffed and looked up at them. It’s the same person from my second trial. They made and ‘oh’ face and looked at theirs.
I looked across the arena and stared into the eyes of Blaze. He noticed me and realized why I was staring at him. He sighed and shook his head. I rolled my eyes and looked back at the MC. I really wasn’t listening…but oh well Nate can fill me in. We left the arena and were in the family room talking when my parents walked in.
“Where is she?” My father said walking through the door.
The whole room went silent. My heart dropped and all my blood went to my legs. I stood there frozen as my dad walked towards me. There was a barely visible red tint around him. His eyes were red and they were swirling. Oh no…
I gulped, “H-hi Dad.”
His nostrils were fuming and they reminded me of a rabbit.
“Have you realized what you’ve done to this family?”
I looked around to notice my mom and my brothers in a corner looking at me concerned. My uncle was shaking his head and everybody else looked away when I tried to make eye contact.
“Look at me Melody.” He said sternly.
“No sir I haven’t.” I said with a quavering voice.
That’s something I don’t like about my dad. His dragon is the Dragon of War. If he wanted he could have people running away from them by just a look. I can handle it though…but just barely.
“You’re embarrassing our family. Not only did you get booed at today but now the Council is questioning if you even are a Warrior.” He was mad. I could feel my body tremor and a sudden urge to run.
“Well, I’m sorry to hear that people are doubting me and atlease I’m not dead. That would be rather embarrassing.” Where is this all coming from? Shut it mouth.
“Excuse me?” He asked. He took a step closer and now we were almost touching chest to chest. Of course I had to look up at him.
“Atlease. I. Am. Not. Dead.” Something in the bottom of my stomach started churning.
The red aura became more clear. “How dare you talk to me that way.”
“How dare you care more about your reputation than your own daughter.” The feeling in my stomach was growing.
“You don’t talk to your father like that.” He was clenching his fists.
“ENOUGH!” I yelled but I felt my Dragon with me. So she’s giving me strength right now. Oh I love you so much.
There was a shock that trembled the room and a wave of air that swirled around me and expanded with such a force that everyone stumbled back. Everyone looked at me with confusion but I ignored them and stared hard at my father.
“Now…I’m going to be as calm as possible,” I started, “I don’t care if people think I don’t have a dragon. I know I do and that’s all that matters. As for reputation, the one way to go is up now. Am I right? Now, I’m going to finish the trials on a good note okay? Okay.” I walked out of the room and decided to go a way I don’t usually go.
I got to my room without distraction. I flopped onto the bed and just stayed there for what felt like hours. Finally, there was a knock on the door. I debated for awhile if I was going to answer it or not. I eventually opened the door, it was Nate.
“Let’s train.” He said dragging me out.
“I don’t feel like it.” I whined.
“I don’t care.” We were outside by now and the twins and Jeremiah and Adrian were there also.
“Hey think fast.”
I noticed a shuriken coming at me. Instinctively, I dodged it. The small but deadly weapon hit a tree. I looked at it then turned around to see Adrian coming at me.
“Whoa!” I said defending myself. He came at me and started to punch and kick. I diverted all of them and even got to throw in a few punches that he blocked.
“Why not try some of your abilities?” Jeremiah called in.
The twins jumped in now. Three against one…what nice odds. There landed a few punches but I maintained.
“Like what?” I yelled back after a few seconds.
“What are you able to do?” Nate yelled.
I started to think. So far I can get into peoples dreams, control water, heal-
Ouch. Did Derrick really punch me in the face? I turned around to see a stunned Derrick.
“You derp.” I said and lunged at him.
“Powers Mel! Powers!” Nate yelled.
Maybe I can scare the crap out of Derrick for punching me. Instead I just tried to use my awesome kung fu moves on him, but being a shadow means that he’s able to manipulate my body without my will. I stopped and couldn’t move my limbs.
The twins tsked and just chuckled. I growled and imagined spears everywhere all which were pointing at them. They just laughed.
“That won’t work on us.” They both said.
I rolled my eyes and had them pierce the twins. They dodged anyways. Arg! Why can’t they just stay still for just once?
And then-
They froze and my body relaxed. Heh that’s what they get.
“Thanks J.J.” I said turning to him.
He looked at me confused, “What did I do?”
“You made the twins stop.” I said thumbing them.
“Uh Mel…it’s not me.” He said.
I turned around and stared at them and then covered my mouth with both of my hands. They flew towards me and landed face first at my feet.
“Did…I…do…that?” I squeaked.
The boys tried getting up. They groaned and complained about their head. I lifted my head up fast and they flew up till they were standing woozily infront of me. I wiggled my eyebrows and smiled.
“Mama likes.” I said.
“Twins don’t.” They replied.
“How are you able to do that?” Adrian asked.
I shrugged, “I don’t know.” I put my hands down and willed for the boys to move again. They relaxed and moved their arms.
“That’s like the third time Mel.” Derrick said wiping the dirt away from his shirt.
“I really need to learn how to control that.” I muttered more to myself.
“Who is your Dragon Mel?” J.J. asked.
I shrugged, “I promised my dragon I wouldn’t tell.”
“She hasn’t even hinted to us what the name is.” Erick said.
“And every time we think its one dragon she pops up with a power that is completely not related to it.” Derrick explained.
Jeremiah nodded, “Well then we can only wait till Melody is ready to tell us.”
I nodded and continued my training.
