Chapter 15 – Wait so you’re telling me…
I had to wear my glasses the rest of the week because there was a mix up with getting my contacts in. This made me pretty angry, however, my glasses made me look smarter even though I knew I didn’t change at all. Also Ashton kept making fun of me (but I kind of deserved it considering all the times I made fun of him when we were younger). Colin also made fun of me and kept calling me four-eyes which didn’t even really bother me much.
Ashton felt better on Tuesday so he ended up going to school that day. The rest of the week went by pretty slowly which honestly was kind of crappy, it wasn’t until Friday that I wished the week had gone by even slower. To say that I was queen of embarrassingly awful moments would be an understatement.
It all started when my mom asked me to do dishes after supper because she wasn’t feeling good (I assumed she was getting what Ashton and I had). Since I had to do dishes I ended up taking my dog out for a walk a little later than usual. It was kind of dark out, like literally within half an hour it would be completely dark and I wouldn’t be able to see. I decided to take him just around the block so that I wouldn’t be walking in the dark for too long.
My dog unfortunately stopped to take a shit on someone’s lawn so I grabbed the doggy poop bag and picked it up (nearly throwing up because of it) and carried it with me while I looked for a garbage bin or dumpster to throw it in. As I walked I hummed the tune of We are the Champions to myself, I’m a sucker for old rock believe it or not.
Half way around the block I could feel that someone was following me so I stopped and looked around only it was completely dead. I started to walk faster, by now it was nearly dark and I was getting kind of scared. My tiny little dog didn’t even seem fazed by the whole thing which kind of worried me.
I was almost home when someone grabbed my shoulder, I screamed and turned around throwing the bag of poop at whoever it was hitting them directly in the mouth. “What the fuck?” was their reaction and I didn’t even wait a second before I was running towards my house.
Whoever it was, was chasing after me, and let me tell you they can run really fucking fast because they had me by the shoulder again and now they were turning me around. “Did you just throw a bag of shit at my face?” Ashton asked looking completely stunned.
“YOU!!” I screamed at him pointing my finger at his chest before poking him a few times really hard. “Don’t do that to me, I thought you were going to kidnap me or something.”
“If I were kidnapping you I don’t think you’d mind at all,” he commented.
He was right.
“You’re a fucking… Meany pants butt face,” I snapped making words coming out in some kind of weird jumbled up insult.
“You hit me in the mouth with a bag of shit,” he pointed his finger at me this time right in my face.
I didn’t know what to say to that so instead I leaned over and bit his finger. I realize how childish that is, but… yeah, I have no explanation for that.
Ashton pulled his finger away and sweared. “What the fuck?” he exclaimed looking at me like he couldn’t believe I had just done that. I was honestly thinking the same thing.
“Don’t point fingers at me, you fucking jumped out at me like a psychopath so I hit you with a bag of shit and then bit your finger, I think that’s fair,” I shrugged.
Ashton looked like he was about to punch me in the face, actually he looked more like he was about to skin me alive and then hang me up to dry, so I did what any smart person would do, I ran for my fucking life.
