  "Thanks for accompanying me,"

This gratitude was directed towards the man standing before me, Jasprit Bumrah. He was in his grey t shirt and black trousers, panting after the run we had. He was glowing with morning energy, if that's a thing.

"No big deal. Though I'm confused, why did you want me to accompany you?"

Oh! Nothing much. Just trying to make my new boyfriend jealous.

"I wanted to jog but nobody was free and I don't like being alone," I told him instead.

"Really? But I think I saw Rohit just going out to jog,"

Damn this guy and his stupid observations. Why can't he just blindly believe me?

"Uhh..me and Ritz had a fight," I blurted out.

"So??"

"I hope you know Rohit is Ritz's husband?" I said, rolling my eyes.

"You fought with Ritika and you're venting your anger on Rohit?" He asked with a look of disbelief.

"Yeah. That's how it works for us. Haha," I said with a nervous smile.

"Impossible,"  he said rolling his eyes but I guess he bought it.

"Let's go get some Ice cream from there," I said pointing at the vendor, to change the topic. Plus I love Ice Cream!

"No way. Today's match day and in no way are you having something cold. The dietitian is gonna kill both of us,"

"Please?" I pouted.

"Okay, okay. You and your tantrums!" He said while shaking his head.

"Thaankkk youuuu," I sang and held his arm happily with both my hands.

I realised I barely know Jasprit, and he probably doesn't expect such interactions.

Embarrassed, I pulled away immediately and I saw Jasprit's cheeks flush.

If I did this with Shreyas even before we dated, he would've given me a mischievous grin and would've started flirting immediately.

Anyway, I mentally slapped myself for being this overexcited idiot that I always am.

"Let's go," He said, nervousness clearly visible on his face.

"What flavour would you like, miss?" The vendor asked with a bright smile.

"Chocolate forever," I flashed an even brighter smile, clearly showing signs of an extremely good mood which even I don't know why was happening.

"And you, sir?"

"Vanilla, thank you," he gave the vendor a closed lip smile.

"B-o-r-i-n-g," I said as I rolled my eyes, "you're eating an 'ice cream' that is an adventure by itself and you just take VANILLA. Just plain. Simple. Vanilla."

"I like plain and simple," he shrugged.

Aly you hypocrite. Didn't you just say yesterday not to go around being an offending mf?

Our Ice creams arrived and we enjoyed them, even though the temperature wasn't too high but we were so tired because of all the jogging.

While making small talk with Jasprit, my phone started ringing and I smirked. The screen flashed: Shreyas.

"Hello?"

"Good morning,  sweetheart."

I cringed but feeling Jasprit's eye on me, I tried remained completely oblivious of his statement and suppressed my discomfort.

I hated the nicknames people give in love. I was so gonna warn Shreyas not to call me stuffs, but so many lectures was gonna make me feel like a girlfriend cum teacher.

"Good morning. How are you doing?"

"I'll be fine when I see you. Let's go for a morning walk, what do you say?"

"Sorry, Shreyas. But I'm with Jasprit since early morning and we have done our jogging,"

Silence.

"You there, Shreyas?"

"Yeah. Okay. No big deal. Meet you at the practice session,"

"Yep. Ta-ta,"

"You could've asked him to join us?" Jasprit could probably sense something.
"We did our morning, Jasprit. We are gonna head back to hotel now. I'm so tired I would've abandoned him here alone anyway," I said faking stifling a yawn.

As we walked back to the hotel, Jasprit asked me with a hint of caution in his voice:

"So..you and Shreyas?"

I froze. Shit. Did he figure out? Nobody was supposed to know!

"Wha-what?"

"Shreyas likes you, doesn't he?"

Ahh..thankfully he doesn't think we are in a relationship.

"How would I know?" I shrugged, "and how do you know?"

"It's visible. The way he looks at you all the time. With admiration.  With....love"

I nearly choked. Even though we were together, but I never gave a thought to the fact that he loved me. Could this be true? So true that it's visible in his eyes? To be honest, I did like him but if he liked me that much, that was something that made me nervous and excited at the same time.

Seeing me lost in thoughts, Jasprit waved his hand before my eyes:

"Hello? Did you get lost?"

"Uh..nothing,"

After a few more steps, he asked me while peeking through the corner of his eyes,

"I saw your pictures with Shreyas that day..you were on a date?"

"Of course you did, it was all over the internet," I shook my head and rolled my eyes, "and it was not..a date..more like a platonic dinner?" I lied.

"People love to see celeberities dating, so your platonic dinner concept might not be that entertaining to many," he grinned.

I laughed, not knowing what to say. This was definitely awkward.

"So..do you like him too?"

That's what I've been thinking.

"Yeah. I mean..he's cool. Good looking, interesting, adventurous. He's..quite..good. So, of course I like him."

I said more to myself than him.

A small smile formed at his lips. "Cool. We might be seeing a great love story forming in the team. Invite me in your wedding, will you?"

I rolled my eyes, "haha verryyy funny. Stop cracking such age old jokes, let's go if you are done?"

And we went inside the hotel.

Hello folks! I don't know about you guys but I find Jassi hella cute! And to be honest, I'm having a tough time writing love stories because I don't really believe in love *nervous laugh*.

So please tell me about your experience with love and I could figure out how do things actually work in love?
