Groaning, I half open my eyes as I receive the wake up call. Ugh. I checked my phone and not-to-my-surprise, the paparazzis had leaked the photos where I had been spotted having dinner with Shreyas. Rolling my eyes, I sleepily got up from the bed and headed to the shower.

I have my breakfast, put on my team jersey and quickly tie my raven colored hair to a high ponytail. I hurriedly hop into the team bus that was heading for the field for practise. While searching my seat, our captain and my last night dinner date Shreyas shot me a brief smile and signalled to the empty seat beside him. I felt butterflies in my stomach. He was looking absolutely gorgeous today with his nice stubble on his handsome face. I looked over my seat to find Shanky and Nanko, my two guy friends winking at me. I rolled my eyes and sat beside Shreyas.

I met Shreyas for the first time as a captain of our team. He was an impossibly handsome guy with light stubble and ocean eyes. His jawline were so sharp that they could possibly cut me, and his hair was always styled perfectly. Even on match days when all of us had pathetic looks on our face after the day's match, his skin radiated a unique glow and his hair would be messy, he looked like a hot mess. He had this look of confidence and challenge on his face that attracted me at the first place. A guy who flirted with me at our first meeting. A guy who's conduct screamed to me: try me. Who challenged me constantly.

Oh how much I love challenges.

A hot guy with adrenaline rushing through his veins. Per-fect.

"So...I hope you enjoyed last night?" Shreyas broke the silence.

"Yes, I did. The ambience was perfect, and I did have a great time," I smiled.

"The paparazzis are doing a great job of spicing things up, aren't they? Look what one says: Shreyas Iyer is doing a huge job of being Captain hot on and off the field," he chuckled.

"I know right! One even said that I was wooing my captain for getting better position in the team," I sighed.

"Yeah, there are some dirty ones. Like..I kept you on the squad because of..you know," he shrugged.

"Now even if I do well, these people won't spare me," I sighed.

"Chill. Social media is toxic, don't pay heed to them. Just shake it off," I smiled and nodded.

The wind blew my hair and they became unmanageable. Sometimes I actually consider cutting my hair into half. But then, how will I style my hair? Ahh..just girly confusions. I huffed and scowled at the wind.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" Shreyas raised an eyebrow.

"Er..no?"

"Then what's up with this expression?"

I chuckled.

"Nothing important, don't worry," I smiled.

The match was a quite exciting one, our team Delhi Capitals was chasing a target of 206 and the last ball six that I hit resulted into a super over which we won. The new bowler Bumrah of the opponent team Mumbai Indians was giving me a tough time but thankfully I managed to not get out.

While sitting in the dressing room, I received a message from Ritz: "Aly!
Tell me all the details of last night! How was Shreyas?
Was he romantic?!
Wait..did he PROPOSE?
Reply fast!"

Ritz (short for Ritika) is my best friend, happily married to my colleague Rohit and expecting a baby. A sweet and beautiful young lady with brunette hair whom I got along when we met the first time. She was always highly excited about everything yet when it came to life decisions she was capable of making the right choices. She understood me better than anybody else. Even though I have all the fun in my life with Shanky and Nanko, who can manage without the wit and support of a girl bestie?

I replied: "Relax! Feeling sleepy. Call ya' later."

Later at my hotel room, I changed into a comfortable pair of pyjamas.Lying on my stomach,I thought about my life for a while. I had been breaking records, earning money and fame at the age of 22. I had a God gifted talent in cricket, they said. I had everything a typical person would want. Fame, money, success- everything. Apparently, I couldn't be more satisfied with my life.
I had everything. Except one thing.

After a tiresome day, I played some music and closed my eyes feeling the music calm me:

Going out tonight changes into something red....
