Why are you talking to me... (BokuAka)

Chapter 23

Once we had finished eating, we all decided to hang out in Semi and Shirabu's tent. It was actually bigger than ours so we decided it was the better option since we didn't want to be too squashed. Though, I didn't mind being close to Bokuto.

We were all joking around whilst Kenma and Shirabu were playing some game on Kenma's switch. They actually, very surprisingly, got along. And really well. Eve thrift was great until Bokuto shushed everyone.

"You guys. Did you hear that. It sounded like a scream."

"Shut up Bokuto" I tried to laugh it off. I'd never admit it but I had heard something, though I wasn't sure it was a scream. We were so far into the forest no one in their right mind would be here besides there was a lot of wind so it was probably the whistling of it which we had heard.

"Hey guys" Kuroo laughed "have you ever watched Sam and Colby"

"Kuroo I swear to god I'm gonna break up with you" Kenma stopped playing and ignored Shirabu who claimed he was about to win.

"What's that?" I asked and everyone let out annoyed groans. "Am I the only one who doesn't know them" they all collectively nodded at me.

"Well my dear Akaashi. I have a video of theirs screen recorded on my phone. Specially for this trip." Kuroo held a smug grin on his face which made him very punchable.

"Okay... do I want to know?"

"Not really but imma show you anyway. Everyone is watching it by the way" the all groaned again. "It's called witches forest and it's like nearly two hours long or something."

I actually wanted to sleep but I was also intrigued... big mistake.

30 minutes in and I was about to cry. Actually about to cry. I was never scared of forests or anything but this seemed an awful lot like our situation, with the cabin and everything. Another hour and me and Bokuto were cuddling or rather Bokuto's as clinging to me, practically shaking in fear. Once it was finished everyone looked to each other and just laughed nervously.

"Hey guys. Do you mind if we sleep in your tent tonight. I'm kinda scared" I yawned.

"Yeah we have no intention of making you open the tent" Semi laughed but we could see he was slightly scared himself. Shirabu made some smart-ass comment and it made Semi slightly bad but he tried to hold his composure.

Pain-in-the-ass-Kuroo however, decided to do exactly that. And drag Bokuto with him. His words were "let's go catch some ghosts" Bokuto was actually happy to do that and they ran into the darkness, much like Colby had done. Kenma was asleep already so he couldn't scold his boyfriend and Semi seemed to be terrified so me and Shirabu had to go find them.

We took a flashlight and ran out. They could have gone anywhere. We decided to split up and go in opposite directions, though we still had to be in shouting distance at all times. We frantically searched for them and were actually about to get the car and search for them that way when we actually found they were only hiding behind our car to try and scare us but the idiots didn't turn the flashlight off so we saw them immediately.

After I screamed at them about how dangerous it was to run out, they apologised and went back to the larger tent. Then, everyone said their good nights and tried to sleep, though it didn't come easily. At every small twig crack Bokuto would whimper.

I turned to face him.

"You good, Bokuto-san?"

"Yeah. Yup."

"Okay" I turned on my back and decided to hold his hand. This would be a great way to test the water. If he didn't like me at all and pushed me away I'd say I was only trying to comfort him and if he didn't refuse it, it wouldn't exactly be an answer but also wouldn't be an immediate no and I'd still have some dignity left.

I took his cold hand in mine and he gripped onto mine. I could see him smile out the corner of my eye and I smiled too. This way, I fell asleep in 20 minutes, but not before I made sure he was asleep. I couldn't possibly leave him be the only one awake, especially since he was the most scared.

I just hope he wouldn't act cold towards me in the morning or anything, or say it was a mistake to hold my hand. I hope.

I think witches forest actually traumatised me I was actually gonna cry when they thought they saw a baby hanging from the tree 💀
If anyone knows what I'm talking about pls tell me I'm not the only one
Also I think I won't write any more of this fic tonight because I still have to write a chapter for my semishira one + I'm starting to rush it and I don't wanna make it bad😬😬😬
