Y/N's POV

I walk up to Clem, she was sitting down.

Y/N: You want to talk?

Clementine: Uh uh.

Y/N: You understand what happened?

Clementine: Yes.

Y/N: Okay. What are you thinking about?

Clementine: What Chuck said.

Y/N: What'd Chuck say?

Clementine: That what happened to Duck would happen to me.

Y/N: What? The fuck he did.

Clementine: Swear.

Y/N: Sorry. I'm gonna go talk some sense into him.

Clementine: Don't be mad.

I stormed out and found Chuck.

Y/N: Hey!

Chuck: Sup.

Y/N: I don't care what your reason is. There is no need to tell a little girl she's going to die.

Chuck: She will. I don't know about you folks, but if y'all continue going like this. That girl ain't gonna make it.

Y/N: You don't know shit!

Chuck: I know you don't have a plan. Get to Savannah, then what?

Y/N: Find a boat.

Chuck: If there aren't? Listen, sit with her and talk to her about it. Find a map, I'd give you one if I had it. And if something were to happen to you?

Y/N: It won't.

Chuck: If it were, you gotta prepare the girl. Teach her to use a weapon and cut that hair.

Y/N: Do I look like a barber to you?

Chuck: It doesn't need to be styled. That hair can get grabbed. Find scissors in my pack and take care of her hair before a walker does it for you. Then teach her to use a gun, cause like it or not. That saves your life from here on out.

Y/N: Okay.

I grab everything I need and walk back to Clem.

Y/N: Hey Clem.

Clementine: Did you talk to him?

Y/N: I did, he had some, uh... he explained himself and made some good points. Look Clem, We're not going to let anything bad happen to you. But there are some precautions we have to take.

Clementine: Okay, yeah, that makes sense.

Y/N: Don't worry sweet heart.

Clementine: Okay. What should we do?

Y/N: Well, we're going to figure out a plan for when we get to Savannah, teach you how to protect yourself and, uh, tidy you up a little so you can't get grabbed easily.

Clementine: I like that!

Y/N: Good. But you won't like this.

I get Chucks bag and get scissors.

Clementine: You're cutting my hair?!

Y/N: Remember when Andy St. John grabbed it? And I got mad?

Clementine: Yeah.

Y/N: Well that could happen again. And if it's a walker, well.... We need to trim it.

Clementine: Just a trim, right?

Y/N: I need to cut it short enough so that it can't be grabbed.

Clementine: Okay.

I start cutting her hair.

Clementine: I'm gonna look like a boy.

Y/N: Thank about how safer you will be.

Clementine: I will rather be dead.

Y/N: Hey.

I finished. Clem felt it and her head dropped.

Clementine: Does it look dumb?

Y/N: No, you look cute, and a lot harder to grab. Now we need to have a plan. When we get to Savannah. We are a team.

Clementine: Okay.

Y/N: We need to find a boat. It is our best bet of safety.

Clementine: What about my parents? I don't care about safety. I want to find them.

I lie.

Y/N: We will look for them Clem.

She then looks at me excited.

Clementine: Really?!

Y/N: Yeah. We will. Let's look at the map. And see if we can find them.

Clementine: They might be at the M-M-Mar....

Y/N: Marsh House?

Clementine: Yes, that's it!

Y/N: We will head there.

Clementine: Yes!

Y/N: Then we go here for the boat. Think we got a good plan.

Clementine: Yes.

Y/N: Now. You need to know how to protect yourself.

Clementine: Like hiding or running away, got it.

I chuckle at her innocence.

Y/N: I mean with one of these.

Clementine: Oh.

Y/N: First. don't be afraid of it. It's just a thing. it. But know where your finger is at all time. And don't put it on the trigger unless you want to hurt somebody.

I give her the gun.

Clementine: Okay. Okay.

Y/N: See, it's not scary.

Clementine: It's heavy.

Y/N: You will get stronger. To aim, you look right down the top, through that notch. See. Line up the site at the end with your target.

Clementine: Is there anything else I should know?

Y/N: You have to aim for the head.

Clementine: I know. Only the head.

Y/N: Unless it's a person. Then shoot anywhere.

I put up a bottle.

Y/N: Good. Don't lock your elbows. Okay, let's take your first shot. Squeeze the trigger smoothly and I'll cover your ears. Nice and easy.

Clementine: Nice and easy.

Then she shot and completely missed.

Clementine: EEP!

Y/N: Are you okay?

Clementine: My hands hurt. I don't like this.

Y/N: Let's stick with it, okay?

Clementine: Do I have to?

Y/N: Yeah, you do.

She went again after I told her where to aim. She shot it.

Clementine: I got it!

Y/N: Good shot!

I put another bottle up. She shot it first try.

Clementine: I did it!

Y/N: Good job Clem!

Then we heard Kenny yell.

Kenny: OH, SHIT! HOLD ON EVERYBODY!

Then the train stops.
