Chapter 46: Victory

Y/N's POV

We all made it back to The New Hope. Everyone was clapping for us as we walked in. I walked back to my house. Carley sees me.

Carley: Y/N!

She runs up to me and hugs me.

Y/N: I'm alright.

Mia: Mommy.

Carley picks up Mia.

Carley: Mia, look who's home.

Mia: Papa.

I take Mia from Carley.

Y/N: Did you miss papa?

Mia giggles.

Me, Carley, and Mia get in a group hug.

Clementine's POV

Me and Louis were walking around The New Hope.

Louis: I can't believe we were able to blow up Delta. Twice.

I laugh.

Clementine: Lilly's dead, they won't be bothering us anymore.

Louis: Yeah, now we can live happy.

I give him a kiss.

Clementine: Yes, we can.

We were gonna kiss again. But AJ and Violet walked over.

Violet: Hey lovebirds.

Louis: Man, just when it was getting good.

AJ: That was crazy.

Clementine: This was definitely easier then last time.

Louis: Yeah, we had help from Kenny, Lee, and your protector Y/N.

Clementine: Yeah. I think this place is it. Our home.

Violet: Better then the school.

AJ: Yeah, it smells at the school.

Clementine: I'm gonna go see Y/N real quick. I catch up with you guys.

Y/N's POV

I left the house. I see Kenny walking towards me.

Kenny: Well, we did it.

Y/N: Thought we couldn't do it, huh.

Kenny: Yeah, but we did. Nice job taking down Lilly, we won't be seeing that bitch again.

Y/N: Thankfully.

We laugh. We hear Lee on the speaker.

Lee: Everybody who helped me in taking down Delta, come see me.

Y/N: Let's get going.

We all go see Lee.

Lee: I just wanna thank you all. For your help. Our goal for making the world great again keeps on getting better. We get closer to that goal everyday. So once again, thank you.

We all leave. Clem walks over.

Clementine: Hey Y/N.

Y/N: Hey Clem.

Clementine: I just wanna thank you.

Y/N: For what?

She smiles.

Clementine: Everything.

I listen.

Clementine: When I was a kid, you taught me how to survive, the reason I am what I am today is because of you.

Y/N: You really grown. I'm so proud, I can't say that enough. But I really am.

Clem hugs me. I hug back.

Y/N: Now, you don't need to worry about losing me again. We are safe here.

Clementine: I hope so, every home I been at got destroyed.

Y/N: The New Hope isn't like most community's. We stayed like this since this whole shit started. I have a feeling that won't be ending anytime soon.

Clementine: Hopefully.

Y/N: Well, I better be heading home.

Clementine: Yeah, me too.

Y/N: See you later Clem.

Clementine: See you later Y/N.

We split as we walk to our houses.
