Chapter 45: Attack

Y/N's POV

We were in our cars. Lee was driving me and Kenny to Delta's base. Clem, AJ, Louis, and Violet's car was behind us.

Lee: We're almost there.

We nod.

Kenny: Hey Y/N?

Y/N: Yeah?

Kenny: This reminds me when we had to sneak into Crawford.

Y/N: That felt so long ago.

Kenny: About that, are you sure we can do this? We aren't younger. We are older. We are slower.

Y/N: Don't worry Kenny. This can be easy, if we don't get spot.

We stay quiet.

Y/N: Kenny, if anything happens, I just wanna let you know that you will always be my best friend.

Kenny smiles.

Kenny: I meant what I said the day you got bit. I'm with you until the end.

I smile.

Lee: We are here.

Lee stops the car, the other car stops behind us. We all get out of the car.

AJ: So we are really doing this.

Clementine: Yeah.

Lee: Everyone, keep your heads low and follow me.

We sneak to the secret entrance. Once we get in, we start to crawl and stay out of sight. Lee was able to get the explosive on the electric system.

Lee: Times ticking.

He all gives us watches. It's the timer on the bomb.

Louis: Cool.

Violet: Now we'll know when to get out.

Lee: Yes. Correct.

We all start to sneak out, but Lilly saw us.

Lilly: It's them!!

Soldiers are now entering. They aim their guns at us. We get out our guns and aim at them.

Lilly: Attack them!!

We get behind cover and shoot the Delta soldiers. I got out of cover for a second. A bullet hit my bionic arm, the bullet bounced off my arm and hit the soldier who shot at me.

Y/N: Lee, I would like to thank you for the arm.

Lee: Yeah, no problem.

We continued to shoot the soldiers.

Lilly: Damnit!

She starts to run away.

Kenny: Don't let her get away!

Y/N: I'll go after her!

Clementine: Please don't die.

Y/N: I won't.

I run after Lilly as everyone was covering me. I find her in a room. It was just the two of us.

Lilly: You know Y/N.... During the first and second month at the motel. I actually had feelings for you.

I just glare at her.

Lilly: But when the third month hit. You started to become an asshole. And you completely took those feelings away when YOU HELPED KENNY KILL MY DAD!!!!

Y/N: Your father had it coming. He should've learned to keep his cool.

Lilly: You know.... After I'm done with you and the others. I hear Carley is still at The New Hope.

I start to get angry.

Lilly: After I'm done, she'll be next.

Y/N: That wont happen!!!

Lilly got her knife out and charged at me. She starts swinging her knife, trying to stab me. But I keep on dodging and grab her arm. She then hip throws me to the ground. She then tries to stab me, I roll out of the way. I kick her leg, knocking her down. I get up and kick her in the face. I try to punch her with my bionic arm. But she rolls out of the way, she wraps her legs around my head and takes me to the floor.

Lilly: Time to die.

She gets on top of me, she puts her knee on my bionic arm. She brings her knife down, I use my other arm to grab her arm. The knife was getting closer to me. I used my strength to pick her up and slam her on the ground. It knocks the wind out of her. I then grab her knife and get on top of her. I put my arm up to stab her.

Lilly: Do it.... Kill me.

I look at the watch. The bomb was gonna blow.

Y/N: I'm not gonna kill you.

I throw the knife aside, I show her the watch.

Y/N: But that doesn't mean I'm saving you.

I get up and run out of the base where everyone else was waiting. We get in our cars as the base blows up.

Y/N: Holy shit!

Kenny: We did it....

Lee: Let's get out of here. The walkers will be coming.

We all drive away.
