Chapter 44: Planning

Y/N's POV

Lee was interrogating a Delta member. I was in the street still looking at our dead guards. I heard someone walking to me. It was Clem.

Clementine: Hey.

I look at her.

Y/N: Hey Clem.

Clementine: I can't help but feel guilty.

Y/N: For what?

Clementine: For this. These dead guards. The people inside their homes who had to hear all of this.

Y/N: You didn't know they would come here. You just wanted to find a place to call home.

Clementine: You know... since that day where I left you to turn, I had dreams about you.

Y/N: You did?

Clementine: I always blamed myself for your "death". You wouldn't have gotten but if it wasn't for me. You got bit because I ran away and you were looking for me.

Tears were now coming down her eyes.

Y/N: It's fine. It's not your fault. At least you're safe. That was all I cared about.

Clem looked at me.

Y/N: I always worried about you. I was here while you were out there. I never knew if you were dead or alive.

Clementine: I thought you were dead for so long. I always wished that you would be here with me again. And..... here you are.

I smile.

Y/N: Come here.

Me and Clem hug.

Y/N: You don't know how proud I am of you.

Clem lets out a chuckle.

We hear Lee on the speaker.

Lee: Y/N, Clem, Kenny, AJ, Louis, and Violet. Come see me at the watchtower.

Y/N: Let's get going.

Clementine: Yeah.

We walk to the watchtower. Everyone is there.

Lee: I got answers from that Delta solider. He also gave me this map.

He shows us the map.

Kenny: Thats where they are.

Lee: Correct.

Louis: Are we going after them?

Lee: Yes.

AJ: Good.

Violet: Do we have a plan?

Lee: Yes. I need all of you with me on this.

He opens a big safe. It's lots of firearms.

Y/N: Whoa.

Lee: There should be a secret entrance to Delta's base. We will sneak in. If anything goes wrong, we use these to kill everybody.

Clementine: Seems fair.

Lee: If we don't get caught, I have a bomb that we can plant in the middle of their base, there is a system that gives them electricity. Like ours, we destroy it, no more Delta.

Louis: So this is pretty much when we took out Deltas boat.

Kenny: Boat?

Clementine: Yeah, we snuck in and destroyed Delta once.

AJ: We can do it again.

Violet: When should we go?

Lee: Tonight. If you wanna say bye to anyone, now is the time.

Y/N: Are we walking?

Lee: No, we take armored cars. We'll need two. Me, Y/N, and Kenny will take one. Clem, AJ, Louis, and Violet will take the other.

Y/N: Got it, let me say goodbye to Carley and Mia before we go.

Lee: Of course.

Timeskip

It was now the time to go and get ready. I was with Carley and Mia.

Y/N: It's time. I need to help the others take Delta down.

Carley: Please be careful.

Y/N: I will.

We kiss. I then kiss Mia's forehead.

Mia: Papa.

I smile.

Y/N: It's okay. Daddy will be back.

Carley: I'll take care of her.

Y/N: Thank you. I then leave.
