"Is she drunk?" Bella asked exchanging a confused look with Edward.

"Where did she even get the alcohol..." Alice queried. A few of them shrugged. I scoffed looking at them with sharp eyes.

"Am I a fucking ghost?" I spat at them. I really am an aggressive drunk but I was just so angry. I was so fed up with being treated like I wasn't there. Not to mention that I had no self control in this state.

"Dawn please," Carlisle said calmly. I rolled my eyes and walked over to Jacob. I have never been disrespectful to Carlisle and I felt a pang of guilt once I went to go stand to the side but for some reason I couldn't apologize. I flinched when Jacob wrapped his arms around my shoulders. I looked up at him to see his serious and attentive expression. I wondered why he had his hand around my shoulder? Maybe to calm me down.

I looked down and only now realizing I had ripped the bottom of my dress almost all the way up my leg during my performance. I forgot how constricting the dress was.

"Shit," I mumbled and Jacob looked down to see me fiddling with my dress.

"What are you doing?" he muttered as the group discussed about the newborn army.

"Nothing," I replied quickly, trying to hide the huge slit in my dress. My attempt had failed and Jacob let out a deep chuckle.

"That's definitely not nothing," he whispered in an almost hungry tone. My face went completely red. He mustve heard my heart beat hammering in my chest. While I tried to force my goosebumps to disappear by aggressively rubbing my arms, Jacob spoke up.

"Hold up, what damn army?" he asked and I just realized I hadn't been paying attention. I snorted for some reason and Edward sent me a warning look. I returned it by sticking my tongue out like a child. The conversation continued and I could feel my legs shaking from trying to carry my own weight while intoxicated. I could barely stand. I only caught bits and pieces of the words exchanged between the group but I heard that the newborns are coming to forks for Bella in a few days. Great, let them.

"Hang on, hang on," I finally spoke up with slurred words. "We're fighting for her again?" I asked, sounding disgusted in a way while pointing my shaky finger at Bella.

"What do you expect us to do, let them kill her?" Edward snapped.

"Yeah... That's sort of what I was getting at," I half muttered. They ignored me, continuing to speak. "I guess I am a ghost," I said under my breath. I could feel Jacob's thumb rubbing my shoulder gently. To my surprise, I felt much more relaxed. But of course, that resulted in my legs giving out and me tumbling like a tree trunk. Jacob caught me, the same way he caught me in the tree house and helped me up right. He—once again—allowed me to put all my weight on him. I noticed Bella staring at us with icy eyes from across the room. I tried to look away, getting uncomfortable by her cold stare.

Was she... Jealous? Maybe it was my drunken state or maybe I was just seeing things. But Bella looked extremely jealous. I chuckled.

"Alright, we're in," Jacob said, his large hand still gripping my waist so I didn't fall. Bella snapped out of her stare and shook her head.

"No, you'll get yourself killed," she said worriedly. I wanted to scoff again. Bella underestimated Jacob. She might've just been worried but we need all the help we could get. And Jacob was a strong werewolf who could handle those vampires.

"You don't know what your talking about," I defended, my words becoming harder to understand. Everyone looked tired of hearing my voice but I was being completely serious. Bella looked to Edward for support but he knew they needed the pack.
