Sights

I got to see so many beautiful places, and shops in Australia so far and it's not even dinner time. To start, it was a hell of a lot cleaner than Manhattan. It was an amazing place and I couldn't fathom that I actually got to live here.
"Okay so, after we take a picture in front of the opera house, maybe we can head to Darling Harbor. I heard there was a fair going on to celebrate the Queens birthday coming up."Caitlyn said ecstatically.

"It's so weird how you guys have a queen."I said snacking on the Cherry Ripe that Michael insisted I tried as we walked along the harbor. Wasn't disappointed by the taste for sure. I was so un-disappointed I slapped away Calum's hand when he tried to steal a bite. Not in my house son. "I mean, it's kind of like how America has a president. Just a little more celebrated I guess."Calum said rubbing the hand I had shooed away pretending to be hurt.

I nodded but still shrugged, "Yeah but like, royalty can go back thousands of years. Presidents ha-"
"I hate to cut this history lesson short. But if you two don't learn how to walk and talk you're going  to get hit by a car." Ashton said from behind us pushing us across the cross walk. A car beeped at us yelling out the window about us damn kids. Oops."I said to Calum who was chuckling next to me.

For the next few minutes I just observed the scenery around me subconsciously following Luke and Michael who were ahead of us ab but leading the way. I could hear Ashton and Caitlyn chatting behind us about pets and other nonsense. There were people running, riding bikes, and walking around everywhere. It was like Manhattan except the people running around were happy.

The sun was shining onto the water in just the right way that was practically picture perfect. As that thought ran through my head, I heard a click go off behind me. "I was just thinking that the sight would make for a great picture."I said to Caitlyn over my shoulder. Me however being the clutz I am, I wasn't looking where I was going and tripped over my own feet.

"Jasey!"I heard Ashton and Caitlyn shout. I closed my eyes and prepared to meet the ground but we never met. I opened my eyes slowly and saw bright hazel eyes looking back at me. "Easy there. That could have really sucked if I didn't just heroically save you."the mystery guy said. "Wow, he's humble too."I said chuckling. He helped me stand up slowly as I thanked him. "Jasey are you okay? One second you were there and the next you were heading for the ground."Calum said coming to me pulling me to him frantically checking my face for any scratches or bruises.

Everyone else followed suit slightly crowding us. Excluding Luke of course. "I'm fine Calum. My hero-," "Chase."The mystery guy filled in. "-Chase, saved me from my deathly fall."I said pretending to swoon over him making everyone laugh. "Chase, what are you doing back in town?"Luke questioned putting everyone's laughter on pause.

"Just coming back to visit my mom. You know how that goes though, right?"Chase responded lightly. I turned to Luke, but his own response was anything but light. The entire day he seemed like in a not so shitty mood which was nice to see. But all of that's as washed away by the look he held hiding behind his eyes towards Chase. His jaw tightened as he tried to keep his cool. "Right. Well, you can go now."He said walking closer to subtly standing between Chase and I.

I raised my eyebrow looking at everyone else confused as to who this guy really was. "Of course. I have some business to take care of anyway, but all of us should get together sometime soon yeah?"Chase said looking around at us all after a few seconds of having some sort of stare down with Luke.

"Yeah, okay."Ashton said rolling his eyes pulling Caitlyn closer to him slightly. Her eyes were anywhere but Chase which concerned me as well. Michael's face was hard, and Calum was tense behind me. Who was this guy. "Aw Ash, we used to be great friends before I left. Caitlyn doesn't even seem to recognize me since she won't even look at me."Chase said looking around Luke at them.

I looked at them as well seeing a pissed Ashton and an uncomfortable Caitlyn. "Bye Chase."She said harshly still not meeting his gaze. "Ah, what a shame. She's still so shy. Hopefully we can become close again. Michael, Calum it was nice seeing your faces as well."Chase said as he began walking away.

"Oh, and Luke? You might wanna keep an eye on the beauty over there. She's quite a sight and was already head over heels for me a few moments ago. Don't want to loose another one to me right? Nice meeting you by the way."He said winking at me before walking away for good. After a few moments of complete silence from everyone I finally asked the question they all were expecting me to ask. "Who the hell was that guy?"
