After a night of congratulating and celebrating, Ashton and Caitlyn turned in pretty early. Luke's sister had called him so he aid goodnight to us and went off to his room. But not without giving me a small smile, that I almost missed, before he left the room. That left Calum and I alone together on the couch.  "Thank you for today and for really listening to what I had to say. Im sure some of what I had to say was hard to hear." I said looking down at my hands. Like the fact that I told him I was afraid that if I decided to have a relationship with our father that it would be an abusive one. Gotta love brother sister bonding.

"Honestly, Im just glad that you felt comfortable talking to me about any of it really. I meant what I said, that Im here for the long haul. Ive missed so much of your life and I don't want you to feel like you cant share your new one with me. Even if that includes dealing with the problems of  your past one. We do it together." He said.

The topic of my panic attack and interaction with Chase the other day definitely comes to mind. Even throughout our whole long conversation this morning, I still avoided telling him about the situation entirely. I mean he didn't ask but I think he's trying not over step his boundaries still. Which I love but he deserves to know. And so des everyone else for that matter especially now that there's a baby involved in all of this.

"Calum?" I asked. "Yeah?" he said. We were both sitting next to one another, not facing each other though. We were just leaning back and staring at the ceiling which made this conversation a little bit easier. "So, there is something I have to tell you still that you don't know. The other day when we were at the movies, when I had my panic attack. It was triggered by a phone call I had gotten . It was from New York." I said quietly. He stayed quiet for a minute but then said, "Okay, well who was it? Was it mom?"

"No, it was our landlord calling to say that I need to pay on the apartment or we're going to be evicted. But he also said that the monthly inspection was that day, and the door was cracked open so they went in, and the place was trashed. When I was living there, I made sure to keep it pretty neat. When the landlord was coming, it was even cleaner than that, it was immaculate. He was giving us a discounted rate on rent because he knew about the situation I was in from how many time I pleaded for another month so I could get enough money from the next pay period from the state for rent.

I haven't called him back since there's been so much going on here and if we're being real here, I was avoiding it. But I don't even know what I would say to him. Like, oh sorry I left the country and abandoned my mentally ill mother in our dirty ass apartment, and now I would like to stop all payments, and pay out of our lease." I said rambling. "I mean, mom is still there right? Maybe this will force her to get her shit together?" He said attempting to be optimistic.

"That's the thing. He said she wasn't there. She was on probation and house arrest. She had an ankle monitor on so if she left house, there's like no way of finding her now." I said. "Well, she's a ward of the state, and wasn't your responsibility since you aren't eighteen. If you emancipate yourself, that would separate you from her completely if you want to cover your ass just incase she does something that you don't want associated with you. Or us really."He said.

"I don't think you can emancipate yourself without a signature from the actual parent. And since she's no where to be seen, that wouldn't work."I said. "Well, how about tomorrow we call the landlord back, take care of the lease, and get your name off all of the paperwork. We will put it all back under moms' name and then go from there. Maybe we can look into hiring a P.I. if you're really that bothered by her roaming around by herself. Whatever you want to do I'll help you. We'll just take it one step at a time." once he said this, he sat up to look at me.
