*One month later*

The past month, I have been slowly piecing myself back together again. I had to get better and fix myself. For Jasey, for us, and for myself. Ben and Jack have helped the most. As well as the periodical token of advice from my mum when I stopped to see her.

My brothers introduced me to the concept of physical activity. I mean, I was a fit kid, and worked out when I could. But never every day. I was too lazy for that. That changed when I found that the punching bag was such a wonderful outlet for my emotions.

It helped me keep things under control a bit. Once being in control of my emotions really took into effect, I began talking to Ashton occasionally. Just texting, but it was still a sense of normalcy. He kept me updated on Jasey as well as everyone else. It was nice speaking to him again even if it was only for ten minutes at a time and it kept my thoughts at bay.

Just some idea of familiarity in this situation was nice to have. Deciding to take the next step in reconnecting with everyone, I made a call to someone else very important to Jasey that morning. He didn't pick up which I figured would happen. So I left a message for him. That was at about nine this morning and it's now two in the afternoon.

I paced around my kitchen nervously waiting for him to call me to make his decision. The reason I called was because u was hoping that we could meet up somewhere and just talk. "I'm sure he'll reply Luke. He's your best friend."Immogen said. "More likely was now. He probably hates me right now for doing what I did to Jasey."I muttered.

"Hey, you're not going to get anywhere by self pitying yourself. You have made some real progress in these past few weeks or so. Don't let all of that be for nothing just because you were scared of talking to one of your best friend's. Put on your big by pants and what you need to Luke."She said sternly.

I nodded and swallowed hard taking another glance at my house phone and cell phone next to one another on the counter. I turned to pace again contemplating to call again like Immogen said when ringing was heard. I whipped around with wide eyes. It was my cell phone ringing. I looked to Immogen and she nodded encouragingly.

I picked it up and slid my finger across the screen. "Hey."He said into the speaker. "Hi."I hesitated. " Luke, let's just be mature about this and get right to the punch. We all want what's best for Jasey. Including yourself, no doubt. But you need to understand that I don't think you're best for her right now."He said sounding tired.

I opened my mouth to defend Jasey and I but Immogen stopped me. She shook her head no. I sighed and nodded. "I just want to talk this out with you face to face. I feel like shit and honestly, it was the worst thing I have ever done in my life. I regret it with everything I have."I said. He sighed and then it fell silent.

Thinking he hung up on me, I was about to hang up until I heard him shuffle around once again. "Okay Luke. We can talk. It wont change anything for me obviously, but I'll meet you somewhere. How about at the McDonalds that's about half way in a few hours."He said. I physically relaxing in relief I nodded realizing he couldn't see me I spoke.

"See ya there."I said quickly. I hung up and sighed again. "I told you he would answer you."Immogen said making me roll my eyes. I walked out of the kitchen and up to my room to shower and get ready to convince him to  forgive what I did.

I walked into McDonalds and saw him immediately. Of course, I could spot him anywhere. Anyone could. He already had a big mac in front of him with fries and a drink. I ordered just a coke and walked over to the booth he was sitting at next to the window.

"Michael."I said curtly giving him a nod as I sat down. "Luke."He said following my actions. I sat down and things were silent. "It's good to see ya mate. But we might as well get this out of the way."He said rubbing the back of his neck.
