"It's Dad, Jasey. He got in a car accident at work. They called saying that he's in the E.R. at the hospital." I could see those three sentences Calum spoke to me on the insides of my eyelids every time I blinked ever since that call. As soon as the call ended, at the drop of a hat I was gone. I ran.
Michael, Olivia, and Calum tried to come after me. But no one could catch me. I wasn't sure how long I ran but I ended up at the foot of a very familiar tree. I hate that I let myself gravitate to this place subconsciously. Although at the moment, I just noticed how dark it was, and didn't want to be out in the forest alone any longer. So I went up.
I pulled my phone out and turned on the flashlight. As I reached the top, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. Luke and I had visited here many times over the past year.
After the first time he showed me his special hiding place, we always ended up here. (They obviously had more dates I just was too lazy to write them out so use your imagination lawlz) I remember how unique I felt being the first girl in it.
It probably sounds adolescent but it was true. I walked around the tree house looking at the polaroid photos Luke and I had hung up a few months ago around the place. There were pictures of us, our friends, just me, and just him. A whole collage of people I love. It was extraordinary. I examined one picture in particularly.
This was taken before Caitlyn was pregnant or at least before she was showing. We were all on the beach and the sun was setting in front of us. We must have asked someone to take the picture from behind us. We all had our arms around each other and were watching the view. You couldn't see our faces but anyone would be able to tell that we were all so happy.
Definitely before the real drama began for all of us. We all looked so relaxed. I longed for it. I sighed and walked over to the bed flopping onto it, very ungracefully might I add. The sheets were warm despite the some what cool air of the night.
I just laid there for a few minutes enjoying the piece before the waterworks came. It was the first time I had cried since I left the house. It felt good yet horrible at the same time.
I let my sobs become louder knowing that no one would hear me. Before I even realized it, I was picking up my phone and dialing his number by heart. It was like my mind was no longer in control of my actions. It rang for what seemed like ages so I hung up and tried one last time. I was about to hang up when the dial tone finally stopped. "Hello?"His familiar voice making me shake in anticipation, yet calm me.
Hearing him for the first time in weeks made my heart long for him, need him. I didn't realize how much I missed everything about him, let alone his voice until I heard it. "L-Luke, I-I-need you. Come find me."I stuttered out before hanging up, realizing what I had done. I knew he wasn't going to come for me, so why did I call him?
Why didn't I call Michael? Calum? I could have called anyone else. Yet the first person I called was Luke fucking Hemmings. "I hate you!"I screamed into the air. I broke down once again as my tears began clouding my vision.
Well, I wanted to hate him. So bad, but I just couldn't. He did something so terrible. I also want to forgive him, but I know that wouldn't be the best thing for myself I could do. And then my dad. There's just so much going on in my mind right now I can't keep it straight. I pulled at my hair and screamed again. Anyone walking by at this hour would have thought I was being tortured. They wouldn't be wrong.

Once I had calmed myself down again, I dared to open my phone and glance at it. 12:34 am. I scrolled through all the missed calls and messages from everyone. But I ignored them all. Including Michael. None of them were from the person I wanted to hear from. I tossed my phone across the bed and slowly got out of the bed.
