Chapter Eighteen

Cameron

Hindi ko alam kung tatayo ba ako o hindi. Tapos na kasi kaming kumain pero hindi pa tumatayo si Wyatt at hindi pa rin niya inaalis ang kamay sa tuhod ko. Nang lingunin ko siya ay nakatingin siya at nakikipag usap sa parents niya. His mother kept on telling me tales of his childhood while his dad boasted on Wyatt's achievements.

Si Umiko naman ay mukhang inaantok na habang nakaupo sa kandungan ni Wyatt. They look lovely together like that.

"Daddy, sleep." Sabi ni Umiko at umayos ng pagkakahilig kay Wyatt. Tinapik naman ni Wyatt ang likuran ng anak.

"Gumagabi na rin pala, gusto mo ba ay ihatid mo na si Cameron at kami na ng Dad mo ang magpatulog kay Miko?" Tanong ng Mama ni Wyatt.

"Hindi na, 'Ma. Ako na ang bahala. Kung gusto niyo ay matulog na rin muna kayo." Saad naman ni Wyatt.

"Sige, mauuna na kami ng Mama mo." Saad naman ng Tatay ni Wyatt at nagpaalam na rin silang dalawa sa akin bago sila pumasok sa silid na tinutuluyan nila.

"Uuwi na rin ako." Sabi ko kay Wyatt. Ang hawak niya sa tuhod konay lumipat sa kamay ko.

"No, stay. Ihahatid na lang kita mamaya."

Wyatt just caressed my hand with his thumb while looking at me as if he is dying to kiss me.

"Wyatt ..." I whispered his name as I stare at our entwined hands.

"You're beautiful, Cameron."

"What are we doing? I thought we're not going to be like this?" I asked. I could feel my heart thumping so hard against my chest.

Waiting for his answer is like waiting for the ocean waves to hit me, and once I'm pushed under, it's going to pull me deeper.

"I -" He started then sighed. "How about we try?" He asked. Now it is proven where Umiko learned her puppy eyes because her father is doing the exact same thing.

Napatitig ako sa kanya. I am tempted to say "Yes". I mean, I never denied my attraction to him.

Before I could answer. His mother descended from the stairs and picked Umiko from Wyatt.

Dahil tulog na raw kasi ang cute na mermaid ay sila na raw ang bahala rito. Alam naming pareho ni Wyatt na gusto lamang ng ginang na magkasarilinan kami ng anak niya.

"Come on, I'll take you home. Doon na lamang tayo mag usap." Saad ni Wyatt at muling hinawakan ang kamay ko para tumayo.

Sa maiksing byahe pauwi sa bahay ko ay hindi niya binitiwan ang kamay ko.

"I ... I want you, too." I answered and with that, he started kissing me again. This time it was deeper, sweeter, more intoxicating.

The next thing I knew I was being carried upstairs to my room, and I felt the soft sheets of my bed on my back.

"Wyatt ..." I called when he stood at the end of the bed. His eyes hot on me, raking my whole being with his intense gaze.
