The news of our victory over Kjotve and his army spread fast than any wild fire could dream of, many leaders from many clans around Norway were gathering at Alrekstad under king Harald's truce to listen to what the young king had to say about all that has happened and what his goal was this whole time.

I wondered myself since I had a weird feeling the moment I met him, my thoughts were wondering about this when myself, Sigurd and king Styrbjorn sailed into the harbor to wait for the talks to start; the sign of my clan being here brought a smile to my face knowing that they came here once I saw my adoptive mother at the harbor. She must have just arrived just like we just did, it didn't take so long for us to reach this kingdom of Harald's since we were like a day away from here to the right.

"Mother!" I called out once the long ship reach the docks.

She turned with a smile on her face hearing my voice after some days being away from her and the clan.

"Arnora, I'm glad you are well" she said to me as I rushed over to her letting her hug me as I returned it.

"I promised I would be, oh, this is king Styrbjorn and his son Sigurd" I told her and turned around to introduce he king and Sigurd to my mother.

"King Styrbjorn, prince Sigurd" my mother spoke as she bowed her head to them.

"Queen Geirhild, I must thank you for saving young Arnora when she needed help" Styrbjorn spoke to her as he bowed his head as well.

"Of course, she is my pride and joy like my own daughter I wouldn't have it any other way" she spoke as she placed a hand on my shoulder as she smiled at me when I smiled as well.

"That is good news, we should speak before the meeting begins; Sigurd come escort me and queen Geirhild once the meeting start we'll be close by" Styrbjorn spoke to her until turning to Sigurd to help him remind him about the meeting since he likes talking and forgets some important things.

"Of course father" Sigurd said to him agreeing to come find him as he and my mother left to speak some more.

Once they were out of sight I couldn't help but chuckle as I looked at them speaking to each other, Sigurd glanced at me with a warm smile.

"Shall we get food and drinks while we wait for Eivor?" Sigurd asked me since it was a long voyage to get here from the Raven clan.

"I would like that, I'm starving" I said with a smile on my face that made him chuckle as we walked to the tavern to have food and drink.

It didn't go unnoticed of the looks that glanced my direction once we neared the tavern. But I did my best to not be bothered by such stares, I'm sure they never saw a young girl with a face like mine I'm sure with small scars but with burns this bad I couldn't blame them for staring a little bit; at least they did speak behind my back I was thankful for that.

We entered the tavern seeing Basim at one of the tables; we walked over to the table and sat down with him. Getting food and drinks for us all as we waited.

"These talks should be interesting once they start" I said as I took a bite of meat.

"I'm sure its nothing to serious, but your face tells me differently" Sigurd assured me but gave off a smirk when he took a swig of mead.

"I just have this gut feeling that its kind of going to end well for others but fine for the others, you know what I mean?" I spoke as I tried to explain how I felt about this meeting.

"Its understandable to be nervous, but you should also trust what your gut is telling you; trusting yourself the most helps with serious situations" Basim spoke to me giving me some advice about trusting my gut and what it was telling me.
