After the long journey returning to England, it was good to see the settlement once more. I couldn't help the warm smile that came to my face as we sailed closer to it; now after all that has happened it felt like coming back home actually home.
The long ship docked at the harbor letting me, Sigurd and Eivor step out of it and onto dry land once more. Seeing this calm life in front of us was a sight to behold after what we've all been through; we walked through the settlement seeing everyone was in their houses after a log days at work. I couldn't wait to see Nicolas I'm sure he has grown a bit since we left.
It was a nice relaxing warm summer night as we walked into the longhouse, seeing the warm fire pit was still glowing brightly. The tables scattered with mugs and plates filled with food.
"It seem we missed a great feast" Eivor said as we looked around the room as we walked in.
"Arnora" Sigurd spoke catching my attention seeing him stand by the jarl's throne.
"Sit a moment and rest" he said as he motioned to the throne.
"Sigurd" I said a bit nervous at the thought sitting there right now, it was still much to take in.
"For me" he said with a warm smile on his face.
Giving me that look always made me cave in, I sighed as I walked up to the throne. Sigurd could see I was very nervous, but he just gave me a warm smile as he motioned to the throne once more before I slowly sat down on it.
"this feels weird" I chuckled a bit once I sat down on the throne.
The boys chuckled with me seeing how nervous I was sitting in a throne I still feel like I shouldn't be sitting in.
"Gift of the gods, you are back" the voice of Randvi called out to us which made me jump a bit from where I sat.
"Safe and standing tall" Sigurd answered her as she walked closer.
"Did you.....did you find what you were looking for?" she started but paused before she asked her question.
"We did, we did but it was not for us" Sigurd nodded his head to her before looking at me, bringing Randvi's attention to me.
"What is this?" she asked a bit surprised seeing me where I sat.
"Look to him for answers, I have none" was all I said holding my arms up in surrender since I still couldn't wrap my head around this.
Randvi glanced at Sigurd who only nod his head, silently telling her what was happening as he glanced at me with a warm smile not to mentioned amused seeing me still uncomfortable. Before walking away from the throne.
"Eivor and the other's returned, inside the hearth come!" the voice of Tove brought my nerves up to their peak seeing her and the other people of the settlement walk in to greet us all home.
