The morning was calm and fresh as the sun raised over the mountains around the land; hearing the sound of the birds chirping came to my ears as I slowly woke up from sleep, stretching as I yawned when I sat up on the fur bed that was made up in this hut.
Hearing the people of the clan outside starting their work brought me to stand up and walk out of the hut; greeting people with a warm smile as they waved and smiled back. Glancing my eyes around to see if Eivor was around since he always woke up before anyone, I saw him trading with one of the locals getting some weapons for taking down Gorm I'm sure. I walked over to him as he looked at the weapons he traded for which looked pretty good; he saw me coming over to him.
"Are you ready?" I asked him once I stood by his side.
"I am, what about you?" he said as he handed me a weapon of my own.
"Ready to go" I said as I looked at the weapon being some daggers that looked really nice to use too.
"We will head out now, but like I said you stay back while I head into the camp" Eivor said before pointing his finger at me being serious.
"Don't worry I have no intention to harm my child" I said with a war smile as I placed my left on on my stomach.
"Alright, let's head out" Eivor said nodding his head in agreement as we both headed out of the tribe's settlement to take care of Gorm once and for all.
It was a long walk but it was very beautiful here in the wild with nothing but the birds and other wild animals that I have never seen before in my life it was amazing; truly a place I would love to return one day to see it again with Sigurd and out son.
Eivor and I spoke about a couple of things here and there, some of the times it was mostly me who pointed out the different things I found interesting I was really like a little kid once again and it always made Eivor laugh at how excited I would get when I would see something new every time.
Soon we came to a cliff that looked over a large camp, seeing many warriors around the place; the camp was by a large cave that looked like they were working on to dig more deeper within it but that wasn't the only thing I noticed; for some reason I could sense a power of some kind around here but I didn't know why I could sense it but I know it felt weird this power I was sensing.
"I'll take out as many men that I can, you stay here until I give the signal" Eivor explained as we looked at each other.
"Alright, be careful" I said with a nod of my head before he went off the cliff heading to the camp in front of us.
I sat down on the ground watching Eivor sneak into the camp and started taking out some of the guards that were around the camp site; I still couldn't pin point where this weird power was and if it was dangerous or not. But in my lost in thoughts about the hidden power in this camp I didn't notice a patrol coming near me.
Until the sound of steal came to my ears which made me turn around with my daggers in hand clashing with the sword that was coming straight for me.
"Who are you?" the man asked as he tried pushing the blade towards me.
"None of your business" I said through gritted teeth as I pushed back.
Kicking the man from under his feet I landed on the ground as I plunged the dagger into his throat making him gargle with his own blood; the other two that were with me charged me which made me block them both as I kicked them both away, but they both pushed me which made me slip off the cliff behind me but catching myself with the blades in my hands digging them into the rocks which made me stop thankfully I wasn't hurt and they didn't aim for my stomach like I feared.
