Returning to Norway felt weird, almost like coming back to an old life that I left so long ago. The cold felt even colder than before; getting used to the warm weather in England will do that but the cold felt nice against my skin. My thoughts were broken when I heard the boys talking about king Styrbjorn as we sailed across the cold waters.

"For many moons I could not sleep thinking about his betrayal, the horrors I wished upon him....he deserves nothing but shame now" Sigurd spoke to Eivor as we sailed on letting the sun rise over the mountains.

"Put it out of your mind, there's no need to harm the old man" Eivor spoke knowing the thought still bothered Sigurd from time to time.

"No, he must taste the same foulness as I taste, he must know what glory he missed by staying here a lap dog of a conqueror" Sigurd said again still feeling the sourness of what his father did.

"You want to speak to him?" I asked when I looked towards him raising a brow at him.

"Yes, face to face I will tell him the truth" Sigurd said to me when he looked at me, I could only sigh wondering what kind of truth he will tell his father.

Looking ahead of us I could see the small settlement of Alrekstad looking lively as ever, I think everything became better for everyone here in Norway once we dealt with Kjotve getting rid of him made Norway a bit better and now king Harald is the ruler of all the land of Norway who knows what happened during these past few years when we were in England growing our own settlement and name through out the land.

Coming to the dock the crew tied the ship as me, Eivor and Sigurd crawled out of it, many rumors of king Styrbjorn reached our ears from Randvi's scouts she had here still; they said he become nothing but a drunk now that Norway finally knew peace and was ruled under one king now; I also think he felt a bit guilty on how thing's ended between him and Sigurd; but we'll see how things will turn out once we find him in the settlement, since he spends most of his days in the mead halls. Walking towards the mead hall the memories of being here when all the kings of Norway gathered here after our great victory it was shocking to believe on how much thing's have changed for us all but it was only going to become a bit crazier from this point on.

We walked into the mead hall seeing it was empty mostly but one person was inside, king Styrbjorn himself, half asleep on the table with several bottles of mead scattered on the table and a couple on the floor; it was a bit sad seeing a once great man come down so low.

"We should go, look at him" Eivor said to us seeing the state the once former king was in, but Sigurd ignored Eivor and walked closer to his father.

"Father" Sigurd spoke to him, hearing a voice he soon started to wake from his drunken sleep seeing Sigurd standing there in front of him.

"Sigurd? My son, Eivor, Arnora by Odin's blessing come let me take a look at you three" Styrbhorn spoke in surprise but with joy when he saw all of us here again.

"Stop that is far enough" Sigurd said as he stood in front of his father, Eivor crossed his arms slightly looking away as I stood between him and Sigurd.
