The thought of who killed Geirhild was hanging on my mind as I stayed in bed from my injury yesterday, no one could find any tracks for bandits or animals. Not only that sometimes Sigurd has been talking what would be nonsense to others but he always talked to me about his visions he has almost every night, I sometimes worried that his old memories are clouding his thought about what is real and what is not but I don't know how to tell him that those old memories shouldn't matter but I'll think about some way to tell him.
Right now I needed my own answers for something else, I sighed as I gently sat up in bed feeling a bit of pain from my injury but it wasn't bad. I slowly stood up being sick and tired for being in bed I never liked staying in bed for so long; there was one idea in the back of my mind that I needed to find out myself and I couldn't find it out if I stayed in bed all day once again.
"Arnora should you be up already?" Randvi asked me a bit worried once she saw me.
"I'm fine I'll go mad if I stay there, where's Sigurd?" I said as I slowly walked in short steps before wondering where Sigurd is.
"He and Eivor took Nicolas down to the river, something about fishing or early training" Randvi said placing her hands on her hips before shaking her head.
"Gods I hope its fishing, its still a bit early for training" I chuckled and smiled which made her chuckle as well agreeing with me.
"Do you wish to join them?" she asked me wondering where I wanted to take a walk to.
"No I'll let them have they're time together, I need to just check out something I'll be fine" I said still smiling before explaining to her what I wanted to do since I couldn't tell her what I was thinking.
"Very well" she said understanding I liked doing things on my own and didn't liked being babied alot.
I sighed before I slowly walked out of the longhouse greeting the fresh breeze that gently blew through the settlement; it was a nice day and seeing everyone in good moods was nice as I walked through the settlement heading to the area where I wanted to go to.
Coming to the small cabin that Basim stayed in with Hytham I came up to the door knocking first and waiting for someone to answer but no one did so that must meant they were gone which was good; opening the door I saw no one around which was perfect for me to look for anything I needed. Seeing the scrolls and papers around the room was all I could see as I searched the house.
In my search I soon spotted something on a table seeing it was a hidden one's blade I picked it up to look at it seeing it belonged to Basim but he never took this off but then the sight of blood hidden on the blade caught my attention; bringing the blade close I noticed that blood was a day old so he must have used it yesterday.
"Do you need something Arnora?" the voice of Basim broke the silence which made me jump from being surprised.
"I wanted to ask you something" I said turning around to face him hiding the blade behind my back.
