-The next day-
Warden's POV
I was walking to the infirmary to check on the baby. I need to find a name for her. Something we can call her by, so we don't have to keep addressing her by the child or baby. That way it would be harder for inmates to figure there is a baby here, but what name? I sighed softly as I opened the door to the infirmary. "Hold her still." I heard Dr.Okina say as I heard some screeching. It was her screeching. KAGU-8 was holding her as Dr.Okina tried to take blood. I walked over and she quickly took notice and tried to grab towards me. Dr.Okina sighed as he couldn't get the needle in with her squirming. She looked like she was about to cry, but held it back. "Let me try holding her." KAGU-8 let me take her and I held her. She instantly cuddled up to me and stopped screeching. I held her as Dr.Okina took her blood without a problem. "I'm guessing the blood is to see if she is healthy?" "Also, if she has gotten her shots.", He said as he set up the blood to start a few tests. Also, so he could see it under the microscope. I held her and she looked around at the infirmary room. The papers haven't gotten to me to adopt her, but I still want to. She reached for a table that had some of Dr.Okina's notes and papers on it. "Do you want something?" She pointed at the paper. I gave her a blank piece of paper and a pencil I found. She started to draw and I smiled a little. I looked at her drawing, but it looked more like writing. When I looked closer it was writing. Marzil? I wasn't sure what a Marzil was. I looked again and it said name. Is Marzil her name? How can she even right? She can't be more than two. I pushed that thought aside as she held the paper up to me. It read, 'My name is Marzil'. That is a cute name. If that is what she wants to be called I can call her that. Marzil Haykushiki that sounds like a good name. I picked her up again and held her. I carried her back to her room in the infirmary. We are having a room for her being set for her to stay in while here. It isn't anything really special as of right now. She is also still being monitored to make sure she is ok. I sat her down on the bed and kissed her head. She smiled and giggled.
Marzil's POV
Mommy kissed my head so I smiled and laughed. I'm happy she was here and I wasn't all alone. The old man came in with some, but I didn't care I was trying to get down, because I wanted to show Mommy something I found. It was in one of the corners. It is super shiny and pretty. Mommy talked to the old man while I went to get it. I climbed down the side of the bed again. I've been practicing it, so it is much easier to do. After I crawled over to the corner and grabbed it. I made my way back over to mommy. She was still talking to the mean scary man. I tapped her foot and she looked down. She was surprised and quickly picked me up. I smiled and held out the object to her. She grabbed it from me. "I thought we cleared out all the dangerous objects? How did she find a scalpel?!", Mommy asked to the old man. "I don't know. It must have been missed." The old man took the object and left with. That was mine what is he doing with it? When he came back he didn't have it anymore. I looked at Mommy then at him. I pointed to him saying, "Shiny." I wanted back my shiny object. "Do you want him to hold you?" Mommy asked. I shook my head. "I think she wanted the scalpel back.", the old man said. I nodded and mommy sighed, "You can't have that it doesn't belong to you." I felt sad because I found it. If they wanted it they wouldn't have left it there. Mommy carried me back over to the bed and set me in it. "I still wonder how you keep getting out.", the old man said standing by Mommy. "Well the crib should be here tomorrow so we will have something better to keep her in."Warden's POV
I nodded, "Her room to stay in is also almost ready, so that should help as well." I looked back to Dr.Okina. "Is it still going to be the old storage room that was basically forgotten about in the main building?" I nodded to his question. "It is big enough and in a place where it will be easy to keep an eye on her and get to her." "You know for a storage closet that room was big." I sighed, "It was originally going to be a meeting room, but plans changed and it turned to a storage closet. Though it really wasn't used as one." He nodded and we left talking about her more and some problems that might occur with her at this age.-next day-
I got up a little early that usual today to go see how the baby's room was coming along before I had to have a meeting with a couple of supervisors. We need a few that could come check on her once and a while and to see if any guards had children could possibly help. When I got to the room it was locked like most doors in the prison. We had to upgrade the security on it a little to make sure it was safe. Though it doesn't happen often inmates have to walk down the hall that has this door on it. It is usually when other areas are being worked on and then must be accompanied by two or more guards depending on their crimes and if they are a NVO (nonviolent offender). I opened the door and stepped into the room. The room was a deep blue original and we decided to keep the color. It had a carpet put in and the floor was covered in a temporary cardboard wood flooring. It also had a space for a crib to go in one of the corners, a small toy chest that had a few toys in it, two tables one that was big enough for a regular size person to sit at, and one that was child size. It had shelving that had some books on it all out of her reach considering the last time she could reach books. It had a dresser that held diapers and the few clothes we had for her. We planned to get more. Finally we had a rocking chair and rocking horse. The chair was from a guard that was going to get rid of it and the horse was bought as a joke between some guards. It was nice considering it was only put together in a few days. Everything was child proof which wasn't that hard to do considering we have some inmates that I swear to be children.
