Hajime's POV

"You can take the last event Yamato, since I did the last one", I said turning to him. "Okay supervisor.", he said loud as ever. "Then I'll be in the smoke room.", I said putting my hands in my pockets. "No, you will enter yourself in the final event Hajime Sugoroku.", the dog said walking over to us. "Why would he if he doesn't want to?", Yamato asked. "He is the one who beat me last year so it is him I have to beat this year. You will enter yourself into the final event.", the dog said. "I don't want to. I was up all night and I'm tired now.", I said irritated. Kenshiro looked irritated at my combativeness and said, "You may be able to deny me, but what about Warden Hyakushiki!", he pointed up to the Warden. "You also wouldn't want Marzil to think you are weak?", he added and I noticed Marzil looked bored sitting there. I remember how when she was younger she loved the fact that all of the guards were strong and thought it was cool. "Fine...", I mumbled I went down to the arena, the dog and his inmate joined me soon. Fifteen was kicked down to the area by his cell mates. "Your going again? Man must be bad.", he said and I growled.

-Small time skip-

As Kenshiro and I fought we heard a large crash and soon after it a large wave of energy that acted like a blade was cutting through the arena. My eyes widened as I saw the wave heading towards Marzil. She seemed to snap out of her thought and jump away from it in time. The dog and were waiting to see her. We only saw her bodyguard run to what we expected to be her. The Warden then ordered us to capture the rogue inmates. We stopped or combat and went after them. Please be okay... I thought in the back of my mind.

-A couple hours later-

We all were in the guard room per the Warden's request. Instead of the meeting room she came out of her office which was very unusual and even more unusual, the doctors with her.. She looked unhappy and let out a long sigh. "I will not lie to you or try to avoid the answer. Marzil is in a coma and the doctors have no idea when she will wake up.", she said. The room was quite you couldn't even hear the breathing of anyone in the room. "What exactly happened to her?", Kiji asked so quietly that if it wasn't for how quite the room was you wouldn't hear it. "I don't know how many of you saw what happened, but when that wave came up it almost hit Marzil, but she dodged it. She was okay, but had been sitting on the edge of the of the broken ground. The ground under her broke before her bodyguard had gotten to her. She fell a good way and was luck just to be alive. She was under two feet of rubble and bleeding.", she said and no one spoke. "You are all dismissed.", she said and went back into her office.

Marzil's POV

I saw something coming towards me and jumped out of the way. I looked back to see the seat I once sat in destroyed and a large gap in its place. I felt the ground under me crumbling. I tried to get up and saw Talion running to me and tried to grab for me. I reached out for his hand, but the ground crumbled and a began to fall. I thought that the saying when you are dying the world around you moves in slow motion wasn't true, but that is what it felt like. I knew I wasn't dying, but the fear of it was want scared me. I realized it isn't you dying that makes every thing move in slow motion, it is your fear. I hit a mound of rubble and more began to fall on top of me. It must have been almost ten feet of it. I was still conscious and I could tell that something had damaged my right side and my left leg was most likely fractured. I have to get closer to the surface. this far down and they won't get to me till I'm dead. I need to teleport... I forced my self to focus on the surface and not the pain. I felt myself move and things move a little. I was still under the rubble, but I could see a glimpse of light. One more time... Everything went black.

*In her mind*

Why is everything so cold? I looked around and I knew I was in my room. I walked around and then went out into the hall. Papa was walking my way. He stopped and then ran at me pulling me into a hug. "I am so happy you are okay.", he said almost crying. "Of course I'm okay.", I said and we started to walk, our feet leading us not our minds. Papa told me I was out for a week and everyone was worried. When I finally took the chance to see where we were I realized we were at the breakroom. I opened the door and Papa and I walked in. Everyone in the room instantly put their attention on me. I was greeted and hugged by everyone. Mom heard all the commotion and came out of her office. She was ecstatic to see me and hugged me tightly. I was told that they had a meeting and I could wait out in the breakroom till it was over and she would talk to me after. I nodded and took my regular seat on a couch. All of them walked into the meeting room. I watched seeing all of them walk in I noticed one was all black like a shadow and I didn't recognize him. I shook my head and decided to ignore it. Putting it off as he was a deputy supervisor.

Over the next few days I kept feeling like my life was on repeat. It was if I had done everything again. I kept seeing that black figure and I would do things with it, but I could never call him by his name. I would just yell for him or say something and he seemed to know I was talking to him. I kept putting it off even though it didn't feel right. I would even avoid him sometimes, but that didn't seem right either. I was walking down the hall right now and I saw him coming my way. He waved at me, but said nothing to me. I waved back not wanting to be rude. He seemed to be talking, but I couldn't hear a thing he said like normal. I just continued to walk till I got to my room. After I closed the door I leaned against it. "What is he? I need to find out because it doesn't see right.", I said and went to the vent. My destination was the library. I spent day after day looking in it for answers. I even began skipping meals to try and find an answer. I was looking in every section. I pulled out a book, adding it to my stack and took it over to my desk that I had basically claimed during my search. I set the books down and took the first book I opened it slowly reading it. About half way through I turned a page and the pages were black and looked like the man. I waved my hand trying to get rid of it. Nothing happened, so I touched it. It felt cold, an unnatural cold. I went to pull away and it grabbed my hand.
