I woke up to the sound of foot steps. I looked up to see Enki walking by. As far as I knew Marzil and I were the only one's this way, so he had to be going to her. I heard a cell door open and Marzil speak, "I'm going to take a guess and say you are the one who started this?" There was no response and I heard cuffs being unlocked and different ones put on. A second later Marzil and Enki walked by, Marzil did a small wave with a confused look. She was taking this whole thing better then I thought she would. Their foot steps faded away slowly and were soon gone. I was left alone again with my thoughts. I let out a sigh and relaxed the chains being the only thing to hold my upper half up. I straitened myself again looking up at the chains and cuffs I had on. I looked at them trying to find a way out of them, but it was no use. I bet the kid could get out of these. She always could get herself out of trouble. I looked around at the cell. Of course there is nothing in here that would help me. I sighed again trying to think. I heard foot steps coming this way. I guessed their coming back already. I was surprised to see Inori and Hajime. Inori put Hajime in the cell across from me. I listen to Hajime talk to himself. "Well you are pathetic.", I said. "Huh, the hell...", he scoffed, "I don't think I'm one to talk. Your in even worse shape then me and since your talking, you mind explaining what happened?"
He stopped speaking as we heard foot steps. Soon Enki and Marzil came into view only Enki was carrying her. She was asleep or passed out. He put her in her cell then left. Neither of us spoke till we didn't hear his foot steps. "She is here to?", he asked. "Yeah, I hope she is okay, she is taking things surprisingly well. Though it makes me worry about her mental health.", I answered. It was quite and we didn't seem to know what to say. "Did that answer you question?", I asked. He looked at me but I wasn't looking at him, I was looking to where Marzil went or what I hope she went to. It was the cell next to me. "Oh your talking about my question from before. I guess it dose, but now I realize something else.", he answered. "And what would that be?", I asked. "Your more of a father to her then me." I looked at him questioning what he meant. "You worry about her more then me. I do worry, but I also know she can handle herself, but you still worry even though you know that better then anyone else. You keep her company even if it makes your job harder. We've all seen the way you have been in the guard room rushing to get things done. You would give your life to make her happy. Everyone likes to see her smile, but even I'll say the smile you get from her is better then any smile I've every received. I don't know how you did it all, but if I'm honest I don't think there is anyone else who could do it.", he said as he looked at the cell next to me. "I guess I do a lot for her.", I mumbled, "I can't say that it is easy, but in my mind it takes all of us to keep her happy. I put in my report, but haven't told the kid. Her powers reflect on her emotions so much, that I fear if she got to angry she could do some serious damage."
Hajime's POV
After hearing what he said I was surprised. I wonder what he has seen her do? "Should I ask what you saw that made you think that?", I asked. He looked upset almost scared or disturbed. "When we were training she needed to get a drink and rewrap her hand and wrist. We were joking around and she used her powers a little. We got on the subject of Mao and she got pissed off about something and she activated her power by accident. It caused the bench she sat on to decay and plants around us started to dye. The part that scared me the most was when a bird came within ten feet of her it died on the spot. I could also feel the affect and I was basically twice as far from her. I felt so weak and I probably would have passed out if it wasn't for her passing out first. It was impossible to walk for a minute as if my body had been deteriorating as I stood there.", he said. I looked back at her cell and was slightly concerned. After a minute I understood what he was getting at and spoke up, "You do all of that so something like that won't happen." He nodded and sighed. "It works though, she has back off letting me work more, but she is also isn't as young as she was." I guess he is right about that. "Anyway back to what I was asking before. How did he get out anyway?", I asked. "Inori let him out as far as I understand, or he at least didn't stop him from escaping his cell.", Samon replied. "He is incompetent as ever.", I said and the Monkey nodded in agreement. It felt weird to know we agreed on something. I sighed looking at my cuffs again. Dammit I would get out of these cuffs even if it meant losing my hands, but if Marzil woke up I wouldn't be able to forgive myself for let her see me like that. I groaned in frustration. I looked over to the kids cell. "What would we even do if we got out? We can't leave her here her mother would skin both of us alive if she got hurt.", I said. "You think she wouldn't be able to defend herself?", Samon asked with a chuckle, "Even if she would get in trouble and she knew it she would fight and I have no doubt that she would win. You do not give her enough credit for her strength and intelligence." "Hey I know she is smart but are you forgetting who we are talking about? Not to mention those creepy dolls are probably walking around again!", I yelled at him.
