Marzil's POV
I was impressed by Yamato's calligraphy. I knew Papa had good hand writing, but Yamato was a surprise. When the daruma stacks for the next event dropped I could feel it shake the entire stadium. I had to grab the tablet that Mitsuru gave me so it didn't fall and break. I sighed in relief and set it down and looked at the screen. Those things are massive. I looked around at each team. They probably were discussing who to send. When I saw Papa's team I giggled to myself. They were definitely an unusual group trying to work together. I watched as Yamato balanced the large mallet on his head while an inmate did the same to the other mallet. I smiled and heard someone whistling. I looked around and saw some inmates looking at me. Some even motioning for me to come to them. I looked at them in discus and turned away from them. I could feel a killing aura to the left of me. I didn't care to look since I could tell it was my mother. Also, I felt like those inmates deserved the look she was giving. When I focused my attention back to the event. I saw Yamato talking to the inmate who was participating. After looking at the inmate for a second I realized it was Rock from gym class. His cell must be representing building 13.
Even though we had class together for four days out of the week, I didn't really know the inmates in the class that much. Well except Tsukumo, I actually talked to him from time to time, but I mostly talked to Papa and Yamato. It honestly didn't bother me that much to ignore them. Though I feel like they might stay away from me partially because of Papa staying close to me. He gets a protective aura around him when they get to close. Though Uno, I think it was, dose also flirt with me. My attention was brought back to the event when I heard Mitsuru speaking again. "Our contests for our first round in this are event are, representing building 13 is Deputy supervisor Yamato Godai and representing building 5 is Officer Inori Hakkai! Also representing building 13 is Inmate number 69 and from building 5 is number 2!", Mitsuru yelled. It looked like Rock wasn't fully paying attention since Liang came up behind him and managed to nock one of the pucks from under the daruma. After talking for a minute Liang went in to kick him. Rock tried to block him with the mallet, but his kick broke right through it and did hit Rock. Though he only managed to push Rock a few feet back.
Rock discarded the broken Mallet and seemed to be arguing with Liang or at least speaking. I decided to see how Yamato was doing and when I looked I saw that Inori had made his way to building 13's daruma. He started to fight Yamato quite aggressively, but it didn't work much since Yamato was much stronger. Inori just look like an idiot trying to beat him. I had a feeling Yamato would win so I turned my attention to Rock and Liang. I saw Liang go in for a fiery kick to Rock. I was surprised to see that Rock had managed to block him with his bare forearm. He then grabbed Liang's ankle and began swinging him around in the air. I could hear him yell just fait enough, "Fighting may not keep my stomach full, but your right! I won't ever be able to reach my goals if I only block!" With that Rock gave one strong punch to Liang and sent him flying into building 5's stack, knocking one of the puck out from under it. "It seems number 2's body has been savaged by a single punch from 69!", Mitsuru yelled even though it was obvious about what happened. I watched as Yamato tossed down his mallet and walked... or marched over to Inori who was on the other side of the daruma. Inori began to back away scared as Yamato got closer. I giggled as I heard Yamato yell, "I fight for Japanese justice!" and Inori flew up into the air. when he came back down he landed on his daruma tower. I had to hold back my laughter as I saw Rock and Yamato celebrate their win.
I watched as the rest of the buildings competed with each other till the event was finally over. While rubble was being cleared I went to use the bathroom. My guard followed me there. It wasn't to far since my mother and I were some of the few women that even lived there. On our way back we ran into Mitsuru. "Hey Mitsuru!", I called out and ran to catch up to him. He turned and smiled wildly at me. "Hey girly, how have you like the show so far?", he asked as we continued to walk. "It is defiantly interesting. Not exactly what I thought I would be watching though.", I answered. "It will get even wilder in some of the last events.", He said putting his arms up and waving them around. I giggled and nodded. We continued to talk as we walked up to the area where mom and I where watching. When we got there I took my seat as Mitsuru went to talk to mom really quick. I noticed that most of the rubble was already cleared and knew the next event would probably start soon.
My eyes began to scan the stadium looking for familiar faces. I saw Kiji talking to his inmates and the same with Samon. Papa looked more like he was more so arguing with some of his inmates then anything else. Yamato was no where to be seen and Seitarou was trying to keep Papa calm and from beating up the inmates. I guess Yamato went to train more. I couldn't find Kenshiro, but I wasn't surprised, he never really relaxed and was always working. I was so busy in my thought I didn't snap out of it till Mitsuru was yelling into his micro again. "Hey ya'll, are you ready for the next event?! Yo!" I wonder what this event will be. Surly not more fighting, that would be exhausting if the last few were all fighting. "Our next event will be Hyakunin Isshu!", Mitsuru announced. I could tell a lot of inmates were confused and at that moment I knew this was going to be an interesting event, and that's not just from reactions, but also because I knew Seitarou would be competing. I mean how could he not? He actually was the one who introduced me to Hyakunin Isshu and taught me how to play. He was very good at it and fast.
I saw Kiji, Honey, and Trois walk to the mats. I guess his building is in the first match. I looked to see Papa's building discussing and finally I saw Uno and Seitarou walk to the mats. Honey and Trois made this aura as they were introduced. Uno struggled to with stand its power. He ended up embarrassing himself by trying to combat it. I giggled as he fell face first onto the mat. I saw Kiji talking to Seitarou with Honey and Trois. After everyone calmed down and the opponents were sitting down after trying to remember the cards. First up was Seitarou vs Kiji. After announcing the two opponents again Mitsuru began to read the first card. After only a few words Seitarou slapped the first card away. I smiled when you practically could hear a pin drop throughout the entire stadium. Seitarou picked up the card, but the cinnamon roll was so quiet that I couldn't hear what he said. Mitsuru read the first word of each card and Seitarou would always get it and it got to the point were Mitsuru couldn't even get a whole word out before the card was took. I giggled as I looked around seeing that everyone was just starring at it. Finally the round was over and Kiji didn't even get a card. I looked over at Mitsuru and he looked exhausted just from reading cards.
