I stood up nocking my chair over in the process. The chair made no sound when it hit the ground, but that wasn't what had my attention. The black goop was working its way up my arm. I couldn't pull away and any noise I tried to make was silent. The goop managed to pull me into the book. When I opened my eyes I saw nothing but black around me. "Papa! Mom! Somebody?!", I yelled out. I couldn't deny I was terrified right now. I stood up and began to slowly walk. The place was cold and I could hear only faint sounds. "What is this place...", I asked myself. I continued to walk still seeing nothing. The air seemed to be getting colder and colder as I walked father into the darkness. I started to hear voices and looked around. "Who is there?!", I yelled looking around. They seemed to only get louder and started talking at once. They had became so loud that I covered my ears and knelt to the ground. It was if they were in my head yelling into microphones like Mitsuru dose for announcements. All the sudden they stopped.
I could hear the faint beeping of a monitor and I now felt like I was laying down in a bed. I groaned the light bright in my eyes. I looked around and realized I was in the infirmary. I began to sit up, but a strong pain in my head kept me from doing so. So I stayed as I was. My mind was blank and I felt so weak. It was about five minutes later when someone finally came in to check on me it Was Dr. Okatia. He didn't notice me wake at first, but when he did his jaw dropped and his grip loosened to the point of letting his clipboard go. It fell to the floor with a clatter while he still stared at me. "Ummm... hello?", I asked. he shook his head and walked over to me. He began to check me and my vital signs. "Ummm... Doctor-" "Are you feeling okay?", he asked. "Yes, but I don't see why you are so worried. I wasn't out long.", I said and he looked at me dumb founded. "Marzil you have been out for a year.", he said quietly. It was my turn to stare at him. After he finished checking over me he left saying he would call my mother and tell her I was awake. I sat in the bed thinking about what I have missed over the past year. It made me wonder if I was able to do the same the thing I use to. My thought didn't last especially long since my mother soon open the door and walked in. She looked at me for only a second before running over to my side. She took my hand and looked at me for a second. Then she hugged me tightly. I could feel such strong emotions from her. "You okay...", she said so quietly I almost didn't hear her. I hugged her back and reassured her I was okay.
-The next day-
I was cleared to leave, but I had to be checked on regularly or had to send a message to someone, mainly the doctors or my mother. As of now I was making my way to my room. I wanted to get a proper shower before meeting everyone. I also needed time to get myself together. Just the thought of being gone for a year was weird and felt so wrong. I guess I should consider myself lucky since it could have been longer. I shook that thought as I got to my room and opened the door. Everything seemed to be kept in order, but a little dusty. After I got my shower I felt much better. I dressed in comfortable clothing since I didn't care much. I did just come out of a coma. I left my hair down, but I did brush it and my teeth. Everything felt off, but I tried to shake that feeling. As of now I was looking in the mirror at myself. I looked pale and exhausted. My hair was partly wet and frizzing as it dried, bags under my eyes, and my expression was blank. Maybe seeing everyone will put me in a better mood. I made my way to the lounge room and got many looks from guards, I guessed they were new or just surprised. I was just glad no one stopped me and had me explain who I was. Soon I was at the last door that separated me from everyone in the other room. I scanned my card and answered the questions. The door opened and I walked in. Umm... I was expecting at least a few people here... The room was completely empty. I went and sat down on one of the couches. Even though no one was here I still planned on speaking with my mother. I would have nocked, but I decided to wait a few minutes to make sure she wasn't in a meeting, and to see if someone would come by. After about ten minutes, still no one came or left. Well I guess I can nock now. I was about to stand up when I heard feet and the door to the meeting room open up.
All of the supervisors or at least most, some were deputies, walked out. I guess that explains the empty room. I stayed sitting waiting for someone to notice me. "Hello Marzil.", Tomato said as he passed me. Everyone stopped after a second and the room was quite. They all at once everyone looked at me. "Hey everyone...", I said with a timed smile. What happened next I couldn't comprehend completely. All I know I was rushed with hugs and questions. Also some scolding from a few people mainly Kiji. "Alright, everyone calm down she shouldn't be over stressed after coming out of a coma.", my mother said as she stepped out of the meeting room. Everyone gave me space to breath. my mother walked forward and patted my head. "You doing okay?", she asked to which I nodded to. She nodded and walked to her office. After she left Papa came up to me and hugged me lifting me up onto his shoulder. "Eeek!", I yelled and everyone laughed.
