Sadly, I lived to see another day.

I got up from my bed and started to get ready for scho- OH WAIT, TODAYS THE START OF SPRING BREAK! THANK GOD, I CAN RELAX FOR A WHILE.

I immediately went back to bed. I hadn't been able to sleep in since...I don't even know how long. So I wasn't going to let the opportunity slide

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.

(xxx)xxx-xxxx is calling

I sighed and turn over to grab my phone from the nightstand. I answered the call "hello?" I said in my groggy morning voice.

"Hello! Is this Y/n?"

I sat up on my bed. Is this the woman from the mall? It sounds like her...

"Yes, it is. Who is it?" I said, trying to sound more awake.

"Wonderful! This is Emilia! I have a job for you!" She said gleefully.

Are you kidding me!? She actually found me a job!? That was quick! I didn't think she was actually going to call me back at all...

"Really?! That's great! What is it?" At this point I was wide awake.

"It's a housekeeper job! You'll be working for me! I get busy and I'm not home too often. I don't normally trust people with my home and my family but after what I saw the other day, and seeing how caring you are, i trust you with this job. Will you take the job? The pay will be $12/hr and you have the opportunity to receive raises."

I was speechless. This couldn't be happening. I was getting a decent job. $12 AN HOUR? THATS SO MUCH BETTER THAN MINIMUM WAGE! Although, since I am behind on my rent by a WHOLE lot I don't know if I'll be able to pay it all in time. I managed to work it out with the landowner. He is a pretty chill guy so he gave me a month to pay. Which I am eternally grateful for but after that, I'll be kicked out. I had to take this job now.

"YES! I'll take it! When do I start?" I asked eagerly.

"Can you start right now? I'd like to show you around and introduce you to my family. I'll send you my address."

"Yes, i can! Thank you so much, you don't know how much this means to me!" I thanked her profusely.

We talked about the days I'd be working. I told her that I was in college and had class on Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursday's from 7:45-15:25. And work at the mall from 16:00-17:00 On Tuesday's and Thursdays only. So we decided that I would come in on Monday after school, Wednesday, Friday's, and Saturdays. She told me I could come anytime I'm free, and she would add those hours to my pay.

We finished our conversation and she gave me her address.

"Come over at noon and I'll introduce you and show you around." She said

"Okay! Thank you!" We ended the call and I jumped out of bed starting to get myself ready.

I got changed into a light creme colored blouse and put on some jeans with some brown cowboy boots sort of thing. (Idk much about clothes but they're just brown boots.)
