32) Hes different!

15:00 (Sunday)

Clay and I sat there. Both completely in awe of what had just happened.

I'm gonna kill him.

Clays POV

Wow...they must be REAL close.

I didn't want to be salty about it since I really didn't know their kind of relationship so I just decided to let it go.

People kiss eachother on the cheek as a greeting thing right?

Y/n's POV

I looked around the apartment and saw that the mess I'd seen in the morning was all gone.

"Wow! Thanks for cleaning up! It looks great!" I said and took a seat on the dining table.

"No problem.. how are you feeling?" he said and smiled

"Im feeling a whole lot better, thanks!" I said smiling.

It was quiet for a while until Clay spoke up again. 

"So... are you and Zack..?" He started to say

"No!" I exclaimed a little louder than I had intended. "no..." i said again in a quieter voice

"He's my best friend." I explained

"Oh! So you do have friends!? Wow...that's surprising. I thought I'd never live to see the day." Clay teased

I playfully punched his arm, while it wasn't enough to hurt, it was enough to get a reaction out of him.

"Of course i have friends!" I argued

We laughed but it was soon quieted down by Zack coming into the kitchen.

"Hey, You guys wanna go get something to eat?" Zack asked and looked over at us.

"I'm down, how about you Clay?" I asked him

"Yeah, im cool to go." He replied

"How about George?" I asked Clay

"Oh, he's busy getting some souvenirs since he's leaving tomorrow." Clay explained

I nodded and went to my room to get changed and Zack went to grab some stuff from his room while Clay waited in the living room.

After getting in the car, we drove over to a little Cafe about 20 minutes away from my apartment. We got out and made our inside the nicely decorated cafe.

I sat in between of Clay and Zack while we ordered or food.

"I'm gonna head to the restroom real quick." I said and made my way to the restroom.

Zack's POV

"I'm gonna head to the restroom real quick." Y/n said while getting up and walking away.

"So...how did you an Y/n meet?" I said, taking the opportunity to talk to Clay while Y/n was gone.

"Oh well...she kinda just appeared at my house one day." He laughed

"My mom brought her in and she said she was going to be our new housekeeper. Which was kinda strange? We've never had a housekeeper before and it was really sudden too. We didn't know what to expect." Clay stopped talking as soon as he saw Y/n coming back.

She's a...maid again?

Y/n's POV

I didn't need to use the bathroom, I just needed to wash my hands. Well okay.... Being so close to Clay got my a bit flustered so I came here to calm myself.

I soon got my act together and made my way back to our table.

I very quickly noticed Zack looking annoyed.

"Y/n I need to talk to you." He said sternly and pulled my arm, dragging me away from the table.

"Z-Zack?! What's wrong?" I asked as soon as we pulled me into the bathroom hallway away from the table.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me?" Zack asked

I haven't seen him this angry since Andrew...

"What?" I said confused

"Why. The hell. Didn't you tell me. That you were back to being a maid." He said angrily but still trying to control himself

Crap.

I was at a loss for words.

"Z-Zack...I..." I couldn't formulate a sentence because I knew he had lost all trust in that kind of job.

"You're going to quit...right?" Zack said with pleading eyes

I stayed quiet for a while. When he didn't hear a response he talked again.

"Please... y/n you can't trust Clay. You know that. This is exactly how it started the first time. You have to quit." He said

"He's different!" I exclaimed

"I don't know what it is about him but I promise you that he isn't like Andrew. I still have my doubts....I'm not even sure if I should even be with him at all. But at the very least, let me keep this job. It pays well and you know I need the money. I promise you, that if anything happens I'll let you know as soon as possible. I'll quit on the spot." I said looking straight at Zack

He gave a deep sigh, "you promise?" He said looking at me with warm eyes.

"I promise." I said

"H-hey? Are you guys okay? You guys were taking a while so I wanted to check up on you to make sure you were okay?"

We turned and saw Clay at the end of the small hallway looking at us with worried eyes.

"Yea...we're okay." I said smiling at Zack while he smiled back.

"Let's eat, I'm starving!!" I said and started to walk out back to our table.

Clay quickly grabbed my arm gently before I walked out, "Are you sure everything's fine?" He asked

I smiled at him and looked directly into his beautiful green eyes.

"Yes"

We smiled and walked back to our table with Zack and had our food.
