(Spencer p.o.v)

I walked into Rivers place to see if she was home again only to see none of her things were in their place.
'Guess she's still getting better.'
I heard a crash come from her room making me rush there with my gun in case it was her brother. When I pushed the door opened and looked in. I stopped and lowered my gun when I saw River sitting on the ground with her phone on the ground, and tears in her eyes.
"River?" I quietly asked making her look up at me.
"Oh hey Spence. Didn't know you came in." She told as she began to wipe her eyes. "How ya been?"
"Hey what's wrong?" I asked as I came and sat in front of her.
"It's nothing. Everything is aye ok. I'm serious though, how have you been? Working cases?"
"I'm doing good. But I want to know how your doing?"
"Came back.... I checked my phone and other then all the messages from you guys I.... I got serval voice messages from my cousins. Oh god why didn't I check in sooner?!" She asked as she began to cry more making me pull her into my arms.
"Hey it's ok. What ever it is, it's ok."
"No it's not Spence. It won't ever be ok." She told as she continued to cry.
'I'm here for you.'

After a few days of River grieving over the loss of someone she wouldn't tell me about. She headed in early to talk to Hotch about work and what not.
'I really hope she's ok.'
"Hey Spence." Jj told as I walked in to see everyone was around the desks looking towards Hotchs office.
"Do you think he's finally getting someone to fill in for River?" Prentiss asked
"No he can't do that. She promised she would be back soon." Penelope told
"We don't know how soon is Baby girl. I mean it's four months now." Morgan stated.
"Have you heard from our girl Spencer? She hasn't been answering any of our texts or calls." Penelope told.
"She's going through something. She won't tell me what, just that it's obvious that she is grieving."
"Grieving over who?"
"She didn't tell me. I don't think she wants anyone to know." I told before the door began to opened and we heard laughter.
We looked over to it and I began to smile straight away.

(River p.o.v)

"You sure your ok?" Aaron asked
"I'm fine."
"Il mio piccolo genio, you started to cry when you came in here." David told as he patted my hair.
"I just got some news from my cousin."
"Which one?" Aaron asked.
"My baby cousin. Bout De. It's all good though. Everything's ok."
"You sure?"
"Would I ever lie to my father figures?"
"Yes." They both told at the same time.
"You didn't tell us it was your brother that killed your mother." Aaron stated before David continued.
"You made us think your brother was dead."
"Your father died from a shoot out."
"That you and Spencer didn't know each other before Jj's party."
"Shall we continue?"
"Ok ok I get it. I only hide things for reasons. But I'm serious, I'm fine. I've had time to process shit."
"But we also need to know if you've found someone to talk to." He stated.
"I did and I do. His name is Lance Sweets, he's a mate of my cousin. Trained psychologist, and has agreed to be my therapist for a wee bit."
"The cousin in the fbi?" David asked making me nod.
"Yep."
"And your ok with that?"
"I don't like therapists. Daisy and Lance are the only two I do like. And I really don't want Daisy to be here and mother me."
"Very well."
"Also, did you guys fucken know imma be in music videos. Yeah it's a whole thing."
"Midnight Zombies?" David asked making me nod again.
"Yep. I've been in a few of them. Also no one else but Spence knows I'm back so they gonna be surprised." I told making them both smile and laugh.
"I missed having you here Il mio piccolo genio."
"I missed being here. Well let's get this show on the road, cause I can already tell Penelope is gonna tackle me into a hug and I'm ready for that." I told as I got out of my chair with them doing the same.
"And we promise to not reveal the real purpose of your holiday as well as the need for Lance." Aaron promised.
"Thanks Aaron. Now onto acting like everything is fine. Kinda like the time in University when we had the zoo incident with Joe."
"What happened at the zoo?" They both asked
"Safe to say, he won't ever do it again and is the whole reason his nickname is Joe Joey." I told making us laugh as we left.
The team looked over at us and I gave a wave.
"Guess who's back bitches!" I exclaimed making them want to rush towards me.
We met half way and they all tackled me into a hug.
"We've missed you!" They all exclaimed making me smile and give a giggle from the whole thing.
"Missed you guys as well."
'I'm glad they are in my life.'

~( before Spencer came home the other day.) ~

I walked to my room to put my bags away and began to check my voice messages. They were all pretty normal till the last two.
"Hey Brainiac, it's me. Which you would know from recognising my voice. But uh, if you've gotten this and I don't know how late or what not... but I did a thing a year ago. They tried getting me out of it but tonight is the night. So this will probably be the last time we talk to one another. Just know that I love you and I'm sorry for everything. I hope you will be there for our family cause I think he really needs it."
The messages beeped to signal that the next one was about to play making me grab my phone and put it to my ear to listen to it.
"Hey Riv.... I'm sorry but he... he didn't make it. We tried to save him but we couldn't. I'm so sorry you have to find out like this. Just call me back please when you get the chance and I'll come visit you or we can meet half way, what ever you want or can do. Just get back to me when you can." He told before the line went dead.
I dropped my phone to the ground as I soon fell after it and just cried.
'Why couldn't I have known that sooner?! I've lost him and I didn't even know.'
