"Arrrrghhhhhhh." The sound escaped Luna's lips before she could force it out. She had never felt so much pain. Ever. Stars blinded her gaze, her head felt dizzy, and there was a pain in every joint.

"Luna! Luna!" A familiar sound cried.

"M-Moon?" Luna whispered. She struggled to open her eyes and saw the shape of her best friend.

"Luna! The Dragon Troop- We're behind them! We're never catching up to them!" Moon wailed. "It's already been three days since they left us here- we've been knocked out cold! The dragons are severely injured, and we don't have any herbs or medicine!" Moon fell to the ground, sobbing.

Luna gasped as she tried to sit up, and a stab of pain jolted her.

"Luna... Lie back down... You're too weak..." Moon groaned.

Luna looked around. They were dropped beside the ocean, where the sand was golden yellow, the blue waves of the far and wide ocean rippling with the breeze. Shells lined the sand, and the ground around them was messy, and there were a lot of broken shell bits.

"Oh no! We're going to end up like my mother!" Luna cried. Both people sat with each other, sobbing. Tears wet the sand around them, and the two people were still having a cry-fest.

"W-what happened to your mother?" Moon asked, her voice quivering on each word.

Luna recalled the moment of her mother's death, the heavy cement and material falling around their outstretched hands and tears... Luna whispered, "She... She went away."

Moon gulped and looked as if she wished she had never said anything. "I-I'm sorry.

Luna looked at Moon, sadness clouding her gaze. She whimpered, then hugged Moon. "Come on. We need to find breakfast."

Moon nodded, and stood up. She pulled Luna up, then said, "Luna. I found this piece of rope. This rope is long enough, so in the forest hold the rope. If you're in danger, tug two times. If you find breakfast, tug three times."

Luna gulped. Moon was sending her into the dark and scary forest. "Moon- I don't want to-"

Moon interrupted her, "IT WILL BE FINE."

Luna sighed and took the rope. She glanced back at Moon and said, "I'm going into the forest."
