Luna grumbled as she set up a stall with Moon. The sky was still blue but tinted with a little orange. Moon sat beside her, hammering the pole into the ground with a piece of metal.
"Luna, go make the banner," Moon ordered. She gave Luna a big piece of paper and some markers. Make the blue ones... Hmmm... 800 Drasdollars, the green ones 600 Drasdollars. the red ones 700 Drasdollars, and the yellow ones 500 Drasdollars."
"Okay, Moon!" Luna said, uncapping the markers and writing in big, bold, capital letters: "Beautiful Gemstones", and began writing the stone colors and the prices.
After Luna was finished with the banner, Moon punched two holes on the banner and hooked it to the rim of the tent, so it was dangling down.
Immediately small children ran over, admiring the gemstones. "Ooh! I want this one! I want that one!"
Their mothers and fathers ran over, shouting, "Stop! Stop!" Then they turned to Luna and Moon and apologized.
"It's alright," Luna said.
"Ooh!" One mother said. "I want a blue one to go in my display! Hmm, or a yellow one, or a green one, or a red one!" The mother settled for red and opened her wallet. She took out 700 Drasdollars and handed them to Moon.
Moon thanked the woman and Luna handed a red gemstone to her.
The woman ran off, crying at the top of her lungs, "Whoever wants pretty gemstones, go over there and buy some!" When Luna looked as she ran, the woman suddenly turned and winked at her.
Many people ran over and began handing over money and taking gemstones.
Soon, Moon and Luna had a bucketful of money and no more gemstones.
"Wow! We have a lot of money!" Moon said. "Let's go buy some gear."
Moon and Luna took down their stall and went towards the clothing store.
Inside, they were gushed with cool air. "Ah... the cool air of the AC!" Luna said. She had never felt like this before- only when she was with the Dragon Troop. Speaking of the Dragon Troop...
"Moon, what do we do about the Dragon Troop?" Luna whispered to Moon.
Moon shrugged and answered, "We will have to find them later."
"Welcome, two girls!" A man rushed up, wearing fancy clothing. "You look as if you need something pretty to wear!"
"No, it's fine. We will pick our own clothing." Moon told him.
"Okay, suit yourself!" The man took out a notepad and took some notes.
Luna looked around. The walls of the shop were all mirrors and racks full of expensive-looking clothes. The white marble floor looked as if it had been cleaned one million times a day. The changing rooms sat in one corner, and lights strung the whole room, lighting up every corner. The shop was big; it had many sections. One section was labeled: Wedding Wear, another section was labeled: Modern Clothing, another section was labeled: Dresses and another section was labeled: Extreme Weather.
"Look, there's a section called Extreme Weather!" Luna told Moon. Moon followed her gaze to the stand that was strung with red and blue lights, and together, Luna and Moon walked over to the stand.
There were fluffy clothes to firefighting suits; ice breakers to hoses; and scarves and ice makers.
"Ooh... What a lot of things that we need..." Moon said, looking dreamy.
Luna tapped her and said, "We will need to go soon. Let's hurry up and pick what we need."
Luna and Moon took thick winter clothing, scarves, mittens, and thermos'. They paid their money and walked out the door with two big bags of their things.
"We also need to carry the basket back. My arms are so sore already." Luna complained.
"We need to do it. I carry one handle, you carry the other handle.
Together, in the setting sun, the two girls stumbled back to their camp.
