Luna and Lime sighed as they touched the ground. The shocking memory of their mom was flashing in their heads. Arnold hissed to them, "The Dragon Elite Team is here, we must be quiet! They might kill me and my dragon, but they will let you go! So be quiet!" Arnold started creeping towards a vent. He looked around and nodded to Luna and Lime, motioning them to come with him.

Uneasiness gripping Luna's heart, she tiptoed to the vent and slid inside with Lime. Luna squeezed her eyes shut. She was immediately sliding down a series of slides, and the surroundings were pitch black.

"Are you alright?" Arnold whispered to them as Luna and Lime fell on a small mat. Luna was shaking and her head felt light.

"Where are we?" Luna groaned groggily.

"The Dragon Troop's secret headquarters! Quickly, follow me!" Arnold stood up.

Luna blinked her eyes a couple of times and saw that they were in a room with one small dim light at the end. That light was the only light source in the room. The walls were made out of dirt, and when Luna poked the wall, it felt hard and stable. Then Luna looked around the room. She gasped: they were at a dead-end!

Arnold saw her hesitation and winked. Lime whispered to Luna, "There is a secret in this room!" Luna looked at Arnold as he walked up to the farthest wall. He whispered to it, "Arnold Dragon Troop Member 2004-03-01 Warrior Cheese."

"What the-" Luna gasped as the wall Arnold was standing in front of slid to the side.

Inside, there were many tables and papers and maps, and pictures of people and dragons. People sat on the tables, eating Doritos as they discussed, taking notes between bites. Then Luna saw a picture on the wall where there were a lot of photos. It was Arnold's picture.

One woman looked up. She had dark brown hair, hazel eyes. Everyone around her was wearing the same uniform: A white shirt with many straps, a red leather jacket, and some tan-colored long pants. The most weirdest thing is that the shoes they were wearing looked a bit strange. The shoes are black with a flame pattern printed into them. But it always looked as if their feet never touched the ground.

"Ah, Arnold's back! And I see you have brought some company." The woman said. Then she stood up and shook Luna's hand. "Hello. I am Isabella."

"Uh, hi, my name is Luna..." Luna gulped. Many other people looked up and smiled.

"Oh, Luna, you don't have to be afraid! We are here to help. Arnold, why does she look as if she has been crying for a long time?" Isabella asked Arnold.

"Um. Her mother has gone in the earthquake..." Arnold explained.

Isabella looked taken aback.

"Oh no! Luna, you will like it here. I promise!" Isabella held Luna's hand.

Arnold sighed. "Take care of her!"

Then finally, "Isabella noticed Lime.

"Hi, dragon. We are going to put you in the stable with the other dragons, and you will have excellent care there."

"Er, Isabella! I have found out what is making the earthquake!" A man yelled from a table.

Isabella turned and asked, "What is it, Liam?"

Liam pointed to the map on his table, with many notes on it. "Have you noticed, that we have never had an earthquake in a century? After each century, from this book, I have found out that MONSTERS come out and attack the cities! The monster's den, which is the cave that spawns the monsters, is at the east, and have you noticed that first, the east side of the city was hit? The monsters must have been burrowing out of the ground that caused the earthquake!" Liam explained.

"What type of monsters?" Another man called.

Liam held up a book, and there was a picture of a huge rabbit, with sharp fangs and evil eyes, stomping on a city. Then he flipped the page. There was another picture of a huge snake with red eyes, purple venom drooling from its mouth, and sharp scales spiking through windows and blocking the stones and bullets that were trying to hit it.

"They look like animals!" A woman shouted.

Liam flipped to another page, and on it, there was a huge paragraph. Liam read it out loud. "Monsters are huge animals that the monster spawner in the Monster's Den has created. Monsters look like animals, but they have more powerful body parts than normal animals, and they are bigger than a 15-story building."

The room was silent. Luna gulped and said out loud, "I want to join the Dragon Troop!" Isabella turned to her.

"You... you want to join the Dragon Troop?" Isabella asked.

Luna nodded fiercely.

"Very well... We have to put you to a test to see if you can handle these shoes." Isabella sighed, and the other members of the Dragon Troop turned and landed their eyes on Luna.
