"Akina! It's time for dinner!"

"Coming mama"

I stop playing at the lantern bugs before running to the house I clean the dirt on my old raggy clothes first.

"Wash your hands first Akina"

I command what my mother told me, we always do it after sitting down on our small dining table before eating.

I sat down opposite to her as he held my hands, a traditional for us before eating we must thank the dear lord for the food on our table.

After thanking I dig in on my plain bread, the village is poor. We don't eat fancy foods and breads but we all are thankful on what we eat. It's better having than nothing.

"So, you're not training today?"

Mama ask me as I drink water before answering her.

"No mama, I took a day off and play with the other kids"

Training, that's what I called on my little swordmanship. Every day I'm at the back of out house learning how to fight together with my bamboo stick.

"I'll be training back tomorrow, I need to get stronger to protect you mama"

My mom's eyes are now watery looking at me.

"That's my girl"

After that dinner mom put me on our raggy comforter we used to sleep. We only sleep on the floor with the support of clothes on which we lay on.

As usual I always let my mama sing me to sleep.

"Ok, now what do I sing tonight?"

"Bravery mama, sing that to me"

I move closely to my mama and hug her tight while I wait for her singing.

"But I sing that almost every night"

"Do it again! I love it when you sing me that song"

I say innocently giving my mama the best puppy eyes I have. She heartily laugh and smile at me.

"Ok if that's what you wanted"

I also smiled at her.

I only look at her as she sing the song, mama is so pretty like a dandelion flower, her voice is so lovely echoing the silence of the night. I love my mama.
