"Oy! Akina! Wake up!"

I slowly wake up to the sound of a roaring horse of a lady. I sat up and stretched my arms as I yawn.

Someone put a bread in my mouth as I yawn, I groan and glared at that person.

"Ah ah! Do not look at me like that!"

Phai, the person I met back when I was 10 in the prison of Won Qui, we were both arrested by the guards. I broke to the castle and steal an armor while she broke in the castle to steal jewelries. Yup, the both of us got in prison in the same night.

And now we are together in my journey, though at first I didn't want him. You see, I totally shut everyone out. But she is so annoying and keep on following me wherever I go.

She said the both of us are criminals we can work together on how to steal things. I really didn't agree first, but in the end the both of us steal a delicious food.

So we kinda worked out in our work. We've been together for 10 years now, after a lots of training we manage to loot and steal successfully without getting caught.

"How's the night"

I stand up washing my face.

"As usual, killing the emperor's men then going back here"

She rolled her eyes and sway her hips to the sides.

"Oh come on! No interesting happen?"

"I just killed the mens, no interesting happened"

I said biting the bread. I was not really in a mood to talk today as I remember, today was the death of my people. And my mama.

"I have a job at the city this night and to the next 4 nights. Would you be ok alone?"

I didn't tell Phai about what happen to my people back then. I just keep it shut, I remember she always bugs me to tell her where I came from but I didn't tell her. And later she just stop asking. Knowing I really don't have intentions on telling it to her. Sorry Phai.

"Yeah"

I simply said taking another bite from my bread.

"Ok, I needed to be going now. See you soon"

She chirp and later on she was gone. Phai ways been so loud and energetic, I didn't thought until now that I really need someone today.

Sighing I put the bread down and touch my necklace.

"I'm almost there mama, I'd be giving all of you the justice you deserve"

Deciding on today's plan, I grab my clothes and ride my horse. For 10 long years of training every year on the same day I journey back home to pray for the spirits of my people.

After a long ride I stop in the forest where I spotted a beautiful violet flowers. I picked them and continue to ride where my very first home settled.

Standing at the entrance burned gate of the little town, I put the flower on the big rock and pray for a minute.

The cold wind flew my hair backwards as I open my eyes and look what's I front of me.

The place look someone beautiful now. Different kind of plants grew on every each of the place, it's lively green now.

Just like the past every year I sat there alone drinking whole day and night. It's the only place where I get to lost myself ones a year.

I feel asleep from all the drinking, somewhat I feel nice and home for a very split of seconds. Then suddenly a noise woke me up from my nice slumber.

I grab my daggers where I put it in my legs and look at Gray my horse, he's far away from here it's good the men didn't see him because the night start to crawl to the world again.

I stand up slowly, what are the mens doing in here. I am ready to attack two mens when they say something that made me stop.

"Ah, we're back to this old tiny town again"

The other men said while the other laugh, how could they discriminate my town like that? Yes it's small but the people here are nice and welcoming.

"So, what are we looking for again?"

"His Highness said, the woman who eventually got Gua pregnant lived in this town many years past, she could have died from the invasion we did last 10 years ago but His Highness said, the woman has the possession of Gua, and it's a rare tool made by the witch itself"

I carefully listen to what they've been saying, while they search the place.

Who could've been that woman they're talking about, what possession, and why do the Gua name sounds familiar.

The name hit me hard when I remember where I've read it. The necklace!

I immediately turn the necklace and my eyes went large as my mind read the name aloud.

Gua

Without a second word, I throw the dagger on one of the men's back as he groan in pain and fall on the ground. I jump at the other man and pin him on the ground pushing the dagger at the back of his neck.

"Did the emperor send you?"

"Who are you!"

"I said, did the emperor send you!"

I said firmly pushing the dagger way deeper.

"Y-yes"

"Who is this Gua? And what possession that he owns!"

"He-he is the late emperor of the neighbouring kingdom, we don't know about his possession His Highness only told us to find it"

Pressing the dagger harder which makes his skin bleed and the man groan in pain.

"Are you sure?"

I ask

"Yes, I swear"

"Where is this neighbouring Kingdom can be located"

"E-east border, past the silky road"

Without any thoughts I ended the two men's life on this place. The emperor can wait, I must know what this necklace holds and who is Gua.
