"So would you like to tell me why are you sneaking outside the palace?"

The both of us are now in this barn where he keep his horse. My horse Gray was on the other side of the palace where I put someone to take care of him.

"I'd like to talk with you about something"

He look at me, then he smirk.

"Already confessing to me?"

I throw him my fist which he immediately caught it.

"Just this time, stop annoying me"

"Ok, ok. So what are you wanna talk about?"

He ask brushing his horse hair. I'm only saying this now but I love his horse. It's gentle and so white, she shine bright under the glistening light of the moon.

"Its about Lord Ti Yu"

"What about him?"

I sat down on the pile of dried hay and face his back, while he was busy cleaning his horse.

"Tell me about him. Like all"

"And why would I do that?"

He feed his horse with a sugar cube, his horse surely like it.

"Don't waste my time, just tell me"

He stop from what his doing and face me. Rising one of his thick eyebrow.

"That's rude, you're the one who is asking for favor here"

I know that look, he is waiting for me to say sorry for the mistake I've made. After sighing I swallowed my pride. Which is not, I'm not going to say sorry instead......

"Whatever. I mean just tell me. I'm not doing any suspicious thing here I just want to know what he is like in the past like you've known him right? It's about something in my past and this kingdom's past which is I can't tell you. And I'm asking this because I wanted to trust Lord Ti Yu before I'll ask him what I'm really here for"

He pretends to think, he look at me and then look at the air then back at me. Oh just tell me already.

"That's interesting"

And so I've told. Just like what Bora said to me last day ago. I mean what's so interesting about it? Why do people always mingle in someone else business.

Oh wait

Now that I've come to think of it. That's why they're interested because I'm the one who first approach them and ask for something. Damn it. How stupid.

"Now, will you tell me?"

"I will tell you, but only if you promise to tell me why are you doing this...."

I was about to protest when he added something.

".....when you're ready ofcourse"

Saying that he leave a smile before taking care of his horse again. I surely hate him, but I'm kinda thankful he didn't push the topic. Why am I being soft with this people I only knew now?

"Lord Ti Yu is a very nice man. He obey and respect the last King and may I correct that, he is a kind man to all people. For me, I never saw him getting angry for something, he takes care of the King and so as the other people inside the palace."

What if he is just pretending..

"He never betrayed anyone"

Kai said as if he heard what my mind said.

"He has the highest rank inside the palace and he never failed the King. Lord Ti Yu isn't just King Gua's superior he was also his friend. Ever since the King was teenage Lord Ti Yu train and protected him. And the only part I don't understand is that he won't tell me what exactly happen on that day"

He said referring to the day when the late King died. And that what Nai said. What actually happen on that two days before he died.

And it seems like Lord Ti Yu is innocent in this. I should've doubt him. But I need to be sure. If he was in the palace those days he must have known what really happen, he just didn't tell anybody about it. Or someone didn't want somebody to know about it.

"That's all I can tell you, now tell me. Does it somehow help?"

"Yeah, thank you"

He seems to finish what his doing.

"Why is your horse alone in this barn?"

He put aside the brush and some utensils and sat next to me.

"This is her favourite place"

Her. It's a girl, how come I didn't notice it?

"Oh my bad, meet Yens, Yens this my friend Akina"

I winch and look at him.

"I can't recall the day we became friends"

He laughs and look at me like a child.

"Don't you want to?"

He said changing his tone into a child. I can't deny his cut– oh shut up.

It's ok to become friends with him right? He did help me.....like many times now right? It's just felt weird, I'd never had many friends before and Phai is my only best friend. But I guess there no wrong in being friend with him. He is nice, but annoying.

But being me, I stood up looking away before saying I gulp my own saliva.

"So? Are just going to sit there all the time friend?"

He smile at the last part before standing up.
And then that's when I  remember...

"Shit"

I mentally cursed.

"What is it?"

"Its time for Miss Dhaipa to check on us, and if she knew I wasn't in bed before 10 the punishment will be bad, or worst"

Dam it, I hate that old woman.

Instead of making me feel alright even though it is not. Kai just laugh.

"Goodluck on your punishment"

He waves at me and ran away. Stupid Kai.
