"Here we are!"

The boy said at the old wooden house. It's not good and it's so old, but it will do. He goes in first before me and as I was inside, the place was full of carved wood.

I was amazed just by looking at all the carved things. I was about to the carved shiny bear wooden when someone spoke.

"Ah ah ah, don't touch that it's still wet"

An old woman came holding a chisel. Her hair was all white and her skin was full of wrinkles.

"Naynay"

The boy said hugging his nay nay.

"This is my naynay,.........?"

Pausing, he look at me questioning.

"Akina"

"......right, and this is Akina naynay. She was looking for a place to rent for the night"

The old woman walk to the wooden bear which she said was still wet, and she blow air to it.

"Kai my child, you know the house was full of carved things, and beside I stop renting the house last summer"

I look at the boy and glare ar him.

"Oh come on naynay–"

"It's ok, I will look for another renting house"

I was about to leave when the old woman spoke.

"But, there still space at Kai's room. You can stay there for the night"

I was about to object when the old woman look at me with a 'if you reject the offer I would be sad' look. And it's almost night, i can't waste time looking for another. So i sigh.

The boy lead the way, when we arrived to a very dusty room.

What the fuck is this place?

"This is my room"

He said like he heard what my mind just said.

A room? Do you even call this a room? It's dusty, cobwebs are on every corny of the ceiling.

"Do you even clean"

He look at me then walk beside a ladder with 7 steps that leads to a pile of hay.

"You will sleep in there"

Pointing the pile of hay.

I walk up and saw a large white bed cloth under was a large pile of hay. It's ok I guess, atleast the hay can protect me from the hardness of the wood floor.

It's not like I'm complaining, I'm used on sleeping on bare floor. I'm just to mess up to appreciate things.

"Come down when it's dinner time"

He walk outside but stop in between the door.

"And, you need to take a bath"

He said putting a goofy smile. Tsk

After laying my things at the hay bed, I went outside to the lake and take a bath, cuz literally I stink.

"Hey! Over here"

The boy shout as I enter the house. They sat at the round wooden table together with the little girl earlier.

I join them, the table was surrounded by very yummy vegetables and bread. They start eating while I bow down first and say thanks for the food.

"What's that for?"

The boy ask.

"Tradition"

"For?"

"Me, to thank for the food first before eating"

I say a bit annoyed. He sence that I'm annoyed but he only laugh and put a vegetable with a fish meat on my bowl.

"Try this, this is my naynay's speciality. Green carp, and when I say speciality I meant she made it the best"

I look at the old woman, she was too busy at her food like she didn't mind of her surroundings at all.

I eat the vegetables and fish meat. It does taste good.

The little poured a water in a cup and gave it to me.

"For the nice lady"

My heart flutter at the compliment, but it only last for a seconds. I'm not nice, little one.

Finishing the dinner the old woman suggested to do the dishes and I went to the room and examine the necklace.

The silence was perfect, not until someone wanted to spoke.

"What's that?"

"None ya business"

I said hiding the necklace.

"Thank you again for saving my little sister back then, if she got hurt badly naynay would have killed me"

So the little girl was her sister. I stayed silent and he didn't also spoke he just make himself busy with something.

They do have resemblance, the two of them had a deep brown hair. And as I remember they also had a nice forest green eyes.

Waving the thought I look up and lost in my thought.

"I'm Kai"

"And so as I've heard"

At the corner of my eye I saw him stand up and face his direction at me.

"So what made your heart turn cold?"

Now I look at him with my famous glaring eye at him. Is he for real?

Looking back at the ceiling, and him noticing that I won't tell him. He let me be. And he lay at the floor just with a thin cloth that support his body from the cold of the wooden floor.

Thinking of what he said, am I really that cold? I'm not friendly like I was before. What happen from my past leaves a big impact to me.

The light from the moon enter at the window and slowly I drifted to sleep.
