The drunk man swing his big fist to my face, but thanks to my quick reflexes I manage to dodge it. I jump to the nearest table and kick the glass bottle to the man and shatter to it's body due to the impact.

Now I only made the man angry, he scream running to me and start to attack again, but I just dodge every of his attack.

I kick his leg which makes him stumble and fall onto his knees. Weaklings. I pin my arm at his neck as he try to breath air so he won't get suffocated. Nice try jerk this might be the end of your life.

The other man at my back lose his patience and was about to attack me when someone kick him hard and fall onto the floor.

"Wrap this up, NOW!"

A woman shout and immediately some guys grab the man on the floor and I let go of the other who I pinned on.

"Akina"

The woman says, I turned around and met with Phai dressed with the most disgusting clothes I've ever seen. What is she, a prostitute?

"Phai"

She motion me to follow her, we entered a room on the second floor it's a lot peaceful up here. The room filled with a lot of animals skin hanging every corner of the room.

"Akina, are you ok? what on earth are you even doing here?"

Just last minute ago, she wasn't the Phai I knew. She was vicious and glare at everyone downstairs. Now she's talking to me with her original voice tone.

"What about you? You seem a bit.......too reveling?"

I say sitting at a rocking chair next to a table. Phai rolls her eyes and sit down opposite to me.

"This is my job"

I look at her in disbelief.

"You told me you only work as a beer shaker in a bar, I never thought you would do such...slutty job"

I stand up examining the whole room. Poor animals, I would never do such this kind of horrible. Whoever did this had no sign of mercy at all.

"Oh shut up, you know I did this things. So what are you doing here"

It's not a question, more like a statement.

"I just came here to visit. Since I would be leaving tomorrow"

Phai's eyes widen like she heard a very sad news. If I'm a normal girl I would laugh at her reaction. But I'm not, I forgot to laugh since the day everything went gone from me. Never again I smile nor laugh.

"Leaving? Where?"

Sitting back to where I was sitting before I look at her.

"I'm going to Jen Chi"

"The next Kingdom? Why?"

I let my necklace out from where is was hidden in my neck and show it to her.

"This has something to do with it, and the name. I'm going to find out what really is this necklace and why is it in my mother's hand, the very own necklace of the late king of Jen Chi, Gua"

Phai gasp like she can't believe what she just heard.

"That's a mystery, I'd like to go along with you!"

Over the past 10 years, Phai and I always had each other on every journey we are heading.

"No, I'm going alone"

"What? Why? We are on this team!"

"Yes, but this time I will go alone"

Phai is a very strong woman, but sometimes she can be a very sensitive person. She look at me with a teary eye which makes me sigh.

"I'm sorry Phai, but I need to do this alone. I can't rely on you forever"

"The both of us are relying on each other, you can't do this alone"

"I can, and I will"

Phai was about to retort something but she immediately stop like she was thinking for some seconds there. She look at my eyes then turns away.

"Ok Akina, since I'm also busy here I can't come with you"

The sudden of her mode made me a bit suspicious, what is she thinking moment ago?

"But promise me you'll be careful on your journey"

"I will be"

Thinking back about the fight early Phai really is good at martial arts, she told me she learned it at her hometown.

"So what is this place?"

I ask her.

"The master's room"

"Where is this master?"

Phai stood up getting a beer from the table and she sip at it.

"Currently on an errand and made me a manager just for couple of days"

My other brow rise up to what she said. This master and her are sure is closed to put Phai on the position?

Wait.

"Don't tell me?"

I look at her again in disbelief. She only smirked. I can't believe she sell herself to this master kind of. Phai really is something.

"You are leaving tomorrow?"

"Yes"

"Then you need a good night sleep"

She help me clean my self and let me stay at the spare room were I lay at the floor. Phai said she had something to do, so she leave me be.

Touching the necklace. I murmured.

What could have been the story of this necklace, and Jen Chi mama, why in the world this precious necklace of Gua was in your hand.
