I soaked myself in this cold water thinking about what Nai said a while ago. She told me they're only having a festival in the town. The King, town people, guest, noble, royals, guards, the new Queen.

Later on, two days after. The King died, which that's what they've been saying. How could that happen? How come no one attend the funeral? Nai said they only burn the King's body privately.

That's even more suspicious. After a couple of thinking I've dicided to tell Lord Ti Yu about the necklace. This is only my theory, but I think one may have killed the King. A sickness is not an excuse.

Lord Ti Yu should have tell the people about it. But I'm sure he also don't know what happen, or maybe he knew but someone make him shut his mouth. Or maybe, just maybe.....he was responsible for the King's death.

I can't jump to conclusions yet. I have no solid proof. But both him and the King are close, maybe he envied the King? How? He had the highest rank in the palace more than anything and anyone else.

If there is someone who knew about Lord.....Oh! Kai! He was also close to the King, like what they've been told me.

Me might knew the background of Lord Ti Yu. Deciding again to not tell Lord Ti yu about the necklace yet. I've made my decision to talk to Kai first.

Remembering him makes me lose my energy. How I hate him and his cocky smile.

I immediately stand up from the water, dry myself and put on the maid uniform. I ran to the training room and this time I came in just in time. Miss Dhaipa only look at me and speak.

She motion us first to bow and great her.

"The Queen and Princess will be arrived 6 days from now. And we only have 6 days to prepare for their welcoming festival. There are no time to waste! I'm now strictly remind you all that be in bed before 8 and wake up every 5 in the morning"

Or maybe Miss Dhaipa was connected to the King's death? Shaking my head, there is no way. I mean, she might be strict and harsh but she's out of the league.

"I'll checking you all at 10 and I hope at that time you all are dead asleep. Understood!?"

"Yess Miss Dhaipa"

We all answer in unison.

We all went back to our dorms. I sat down at my bed and think on how to escape here, that was only the first problem the second problem was where on earth am I going to find Kai.

I don't know where he was staying. I'm saying this with no other feelings. But I'm really hoping he stayed at the palace ground since he's a merchant.

After an hour later the whole room was filled with sleeping ladies. The light in the room was now out. I'm sure I'm the only one awake now.

Getting up I manage to exit the room without making any noise. The hallway was still lit, I carefully walk to the west exit hoping there are no guards outside. It's not that I'm scared, I mean I can easily kill them right?

But that would be a problem. So this is my first time sneaking without killing anybody. I've done this a hundred of times together with Phai. And every person  block our path we kill them. Easy as that is.

And now without causing problems I didn't want to shed a blood tonight. I manage to get out hiding at a big wall. I took a peck. There were still guards who is roaming the area.

The only solution now was to stay hidden and quiet. Though I'm not sure how to find Kai. I hate this idea. If I get caught here I'm sure I'll be killing that simp.

I was about to walk to the near wall when someone talk behind me.

"Akina? What are you doin–"

I immediately cover his mouth.

"Are you crazy? Do you want us to get caught?"

He look confuse at the first second but then he look past me and knew what I meant. He suddenly lick my palm which makes me slap his forehead and he falls down to the ground.

"Are you crazy?!"

I scream at him.

"That's twice this day"

"You idiot don–"

"Hey! Who are you!"

I stop talking when one of the guard spotted and shouted at us. Shit, I'm really going to kill this man in front of me.

"I said who are you!"

The guard started walking towards us, as Kai stands up.

"This is all your fault, if you didn't lick my palm I wouldn't have shouted and I wouldn't get caught. I'm so reaping to apart"

"Well, that's not the case now. You need to choose between two"

I eyed him a 'what' expression. This is no time for joke.

"I said choose. Either say sorry to me and I'll help you get away with this or get caught up and get lock at the dungeon"

"Are you stupid? The both of us will be thrown in the dungeon"

I harden the grip of my small knife that I put in my side hidden.

"Lucky for me, even though I'm a merchant now, I'm still one of the palace guards"

I look at him confused. Him and his stupid grin again. This night is the worst! I don't have a choice. So...

"Fine, I'm sorry now help me"

I whisper, even thought I'm facing my back at him I can still feel him grinning. He really likes making me angry. Fuck him.

"Do you know what time is it lady? Do you know the punishment when you–"

"Hold up there Su, don't worry I ask for her help. Now can you let this once go?"

That's a lame excuse you got there Kai, but I think it works since the guard let us go.
