21. Plans to Find Him

April Fourth 1994

"He's going to kill himself!" Lilly cried clutching onto Axl's shirt. Frances and Kyle were with Meegan and Slash while Kurt was missing. Kurt hadn't been found and he left without a trace. 

"He isn't. Sh, sh. He won't kill himself. We'll find him before he can do anything," Axl said raking his hand through Lilly blond hair. Axl held Lilly's face in his hand and softly kissed her lips. He pulled away and looked Lilly in the eyes. She was still crying but Axl made sure to let her know she was loved and everything would be okay.

Slash was walking out of a store after buying cigarettes when he noticed Kurt standing outside. Kurt was skinny and pale. His eyes dark and a cigarette hung out of his mouth. But he was okay. 

"Kurt!" Slash called walking up to him. Kurt nodded a greeting ignorant to the fact Slash knew about his disappearance. He crushed out his cigarette and crossed his arms over his chest. "What are you doing man? You're worrying Lilly sick," Slash said. Kurt looked surprised and a bit scared. "How did you know?" Kurt asked. "Lilly is dating Axl! They told us you were missing so we can help to find you! Frances wants you back too!" Slash said. "Maybe but they'll see how much better life is without me around. They'll cry for two days and then be done," Kurt said. "Kurt, that's not true. Now c'mon," Slash said reaching out to grab Kurt's arm but Kurt stepped back. In a stance where Slash knew he was about to run. "Don't do it, Kurt!" Slash said. But of course Kurt didn't listen and took off. "Hey!" Slash yelled. 

Kurt jumped into his car and sped away. Slash groaned he had walked to the store. But at least he could tell Lilly Kurt was alright.

Axl heard knocks on the door and opened it so Slash could walk in. "Slash?" Axl asked. "I saw Kurt. Where's Lilly?" Slash asked. "I'll go get her," Axl said. "No, don't," SLash said grabbing Axl's arm to stop him. Axl stopped walking and Slash released him. "Now, listen. Kurt does plan on killing himself. He thinks Lilly and Frances's life would be better without him," Slash said.

Soon they all set up a meeting. With Duff, Steven, Slash, Izzy, Lilly, Axl, and Courtney. (Meegan stayed behind to watch the kids.) 

"I talked to Kurt. He does plan on killing himself," Slash said. Lilly gasped and clutched onto Axl shirt. Axl rubbed her back. "Anywhere around the store I want all of you to search. I have a feeling he wouldn't go back home if he knows we're here but we'll keep a look out," Axl said. Slash nodded. 

"So now what are you going to do? Alert the authorities?" Courtney asked. "We would and probably should. But it Kurt found out we had called the police then he'd flee to another town or state even! We need to make sure he stays here," Slash said. Everyone nodded but Courtney still looked pissed. "This is my husband! I want to find him! So I'll call the police!" Courtney urged. "Do that! If you want him to hurry up and kill himself before anyone can find him!" Izzy said madly.
