The four of them raced to the greenhouse praying Kurt was in there and alive. Neither of them knew how long Kurt had been at his home.

Finally, they reached the greenhouse and stopped. They now realized how much they dreaded going in only to find a bloody Kurt on the ground with a shotgun on his chest or by his side as the impact knocked it out of his arms when he shot.

Axl grabbed the door handle and looked at Lilly, Izzy, and Michelle. They nodded and Axl pushed the door open and peered in. Nothing. "Kurt?" Axl asked. He cautiously stepped in followed by Lilly. She looked to her right and gasped. "KURT, STOP!" she yelled. Axl looked over at Kurt who had the barrel of the gun in his mouth. A band attached to his arm. His arms were shaking. No. He was shaking. His eyes were glossy and his pupils small.

"He had to have just injected himself. Our main priority is to get the gun from him. He won't listen if he's stoned," Izzy whispered to his friends careful so Kurt doesn't hear.

Even if Kurt did hear he'd be oblivious. But it was still very, very, dangerous with a high guy to have a gun. And at any moment, because he wasn't thinking, he could pull the gun on one of four friends. So they had to be careful.

Lilly stepped forward. "Careful, Lilly," Axl murmured. Lilly squatted to where her legs were by her chest but she was sitting on her feet. She was still a distance from Kurt at least six feet. "Kurt, I need you to give me the gun okay," Lilly said softly. "No... You don't understand how long I've wanted to do this," Kurt said sounding happy. He broke out in a smile. "I've wanted to do this for so long," he said sighing. "Kurt, no, please. Please don't do this," Lilly said. "Frances needs a father. Kyle needs an uncle. And I need a brother. Dave and Krist need their friend," Lilly said. "Now give me the gun, Kurt. Please."

Kurt slowly passed the gun to Lilly and she slid it to Axl telling him to unload it which he did. Lilly wrapped her arms around Kurt's neck and started to cry. Kurt hugged her.

Lilly stared out the kitchen window at the sunset. Remembering the events of the day. She felt skinny arms wrap around her waist. "Thanks for everything you did for me, Axl. I know I must've been a pain," Lilly said. "It's no problem. I'd do anything for you," Axl said. He began to kiss down her neck and she giggled. "I love you, Axl," Lilly said. "I love you too, doll," Axl said.
