One day prior...
Aizawa, didn't have a good day. That would be the understatement of the century. First, he had to watch, along with his class, the attack of one of the most powerful Nomu's the L.O.V probably had to their possession. Then, he witnessed the defeat of the number one hero by said creature, followed by him getting injected with a drag that probably got rid of his quirk for good. He had to see one of his students lose control of their power and lash out during class and then, to top it all out, he had to be reminded of the fact that a student of his was dead.
He had walked out of the principals office, not giving him even the chance of finishing up with the plan of action he recommended. He just couldn't take that idea seriously. He was suggesting that the problem child, HIS problem child, was still alive, or among the living by that matter. But he was there, he had saw him get killed and all of them knew that ghosts don't exist, that they are just a legend told to little kids to scare them.
He had just wanted to move on, move on from this teen and stop crying himself to sleep every night, when the thoughts of his absence came to him. But everything around him reminded him of him. He went through the door of the dorm building he was staying at and looked around slowly. To his relief, no one seemed to be there just yet. He went to the kitchen and started making himself a coffee. If he had to guess, he will need it.
He filled his mug with the hot brown liquid, as the smell of caffeine filled the area. Taking a sip, he let it go down his throat and warm his inside outs before he started heading in his room. Behind him the door clicked and the faint sound of chating started echoing around faintly. In other occasions, he might of had went to welcome them, or even join a conversation if he was feeling like it. Though now, he wasn't on mood for any type of social interaction. He entered his deemly lighten room, not dissimilar in the way the students rooms were constructed.
He put his mug down on his desk and pulled the chair that stood in front of it and sat down. He didn't bother to open the shutters, instead he just let them be, preferring the darkness and loneliness of the room. To his misfortune, there was nothing for him to grade that day. Of course, that was a part of the job he greatly disliked, but he still found satisfaction in the fact that it was keeping him busy. Now, his mind and thoughts could rampage, without anything keeping them under wraps and stopping them from ripping him apart.
A tired sigh left his lips as he absentmindly started going through the small collections of frames that sat in his desk. Most of them were from his time at the high school, the same one he was now teaching his young students. Of course, most of them had Present Mic on them. This two, even though they were that different in character, they had somehow stack with each other. A weird, an unique friendship, but Aizawa had long since came to the conclusion that nothing in the life of a hero is normal. Sure, he might gets annoyed some times by how loud his friend is but, he can't really hate him. For the most time, he is the only one able to make him smile.
Of course back then, there was Midnight too. They used to hang out a lot together, though the fact that she was nearly always surrounded by guys from other classes made it quite a difficult task to do so. As to why she was always surrounded? Let's just say that she was like that since her younger years. But either way, they were friends, and when they graduated and became pro heroes, partners as well. Though, if someone was to see those three patrolling together, they would gave probably burst out laughing. He knew it, all there knew it, and to tell the truth didn't really care about that.
A small smile was creaping in the hero's lips, as for a moment he lost himself in the memories of his younger self and all the fun he had back then. He liked those years and missed them dearly. For the first time in days, he felt like he had started to relax a bit, and he liked how good it felt after everything he had went through today. That was until his image flashed in his mind.
