LOOKING back five years ago, Dani's life became a mess. She was diagnosed with cancer. Grant came back to her life only to ask her to pretend, but they ended up making it real. They got married and instantly, she chose to stay away from him.

The decisions they made back then were like a spur of the moment. Hindi masyadong pinag-isipan, kaya siguro mabilis din na nabuwag. Kaunting usbong ng problema, nawala agad nila ang isa't isa.
It wasn't meant to last.

Living in Canada without Grant wasn't easy. Bawat araw na nagtatanong si Xavi tungkol sa ama nito ay halos ikadurog ng puso niya. She couldn't bring to tell him the truth. Lagi na lamang siyang nagpapalusot. It was the toughest part in their lives. He would always ask her about his father. Kung ano ang ginagawa nito. Bakit hindi sila dinadalaw. Bakit kahit kailan ay hindi sila nagkitang dalawa.

It broke her everyday to see her son grow without a father. Daniel and Quentin were there to guide him but it wasn't enough. He will always yearn for his own father, which she couldn't even give to him.

She sighed and looked at the two men in his life. She couldn't help but get emotional everytime they're together. Hindi kasi sumagi sa isip niya noon na darating pala iyong ganitong araw. Na magkakasama ang dalawa. Na maipapakilala niya sa anak ang sarili nitong ama. She was just so happy for her son.

Right now, looking at how Xavi laughs with his Dad, it made her heart ache because of happiness. She could never imagine this scene happening before. Akala niya noon wala ng pag-asa pa. Na hindi sila mabubuong tatlo. But they are here now, a complete family. She could not ask for anything anymore. Masaya na siya sa ganito.

Grant looked at her direction. She smiled at him. Nang kumunot ang noo nito, alam na niyang lalapit agad ito sa kanya. He worrries a lot about her for the past days. She was too emotional and sentimental, dahil na rin siguro sa pinagdaraanan nilang dalawa. Their relationship wasn't shaky anymore. She trusts him more than she could even trust herself. He was always there for her whenever she needs him. Sobrang clingy rin nito na minsan ay ikinaiinis na niya.

He loves to be by her side. Kahit nasa kitchen lamang siya at nagluluto. He would watch her cook instead of watching the television. Wala naman daw kasi itong mapapala roon. He would literally follow her everywhere. Kaya ginagaya na rin ito ng anak nila. They were too clingy and always asking for her attention. As what they say, like father, like son. It's true, indeed.

"What's wrong?" Tanong nito. He cupped her face and looked at her intently. "Why are you so sad looking at me and our Xavi?"

She shook her head. "It's nothing. I just remembered how much time you, two, lost. Back then, I was already losing hope that I could give Xavi a complete family. But here we are now, we're complete." A tear fell from her eye.

Grant wiped it away and envelope her in his arms. "If you didn't came back, I'll go and find you in Canada. I was ready to go there. Pinigilan lang ako ni Yuka. That's why you had the contract." He let her go and looked at her. Sincerity was evident on his eyes. "Five fucking years was already too long for me. I couldn't even sleep at night thinking of what's happening to you. I was so scared that I already lost you forever."

"I'll be back. I know I will always come back," she said in tears. "My heart is here..." She smiled at him. "It's with you, Grant."

Grant's eyes watered. "I love you, Dani. So damn much."

"I love you, too. Only you."

"And Xavi loves you so much more, Mommy."

Sabay silang napalingon sa anak. He looked cute on his polo and khaki shorts. He was looking up to them. Grant crouch and carried their son. Noon lamang niya napansin ang hawak nito sa kamay.
