As we all know, Kayla Gilbert and Damon Salvatore are the current most popular ship on the hit CW show. Everyone knew Tessa was going to become a vampire but everyone was stunned when they found out what lead up to her becoming the supernatural creature. In the last episode on November 21st, episode 8 of season 5 we found out that Tessa had three days left to live before she had to hand herself over to a mystery man and lose her life after trying to mess with Quetsiyah's plans. It was either her or Elena...she chose to sacrifice her life.
