The Aris Tyra Story {Ongoing}

Episode 11

We landed on a pad outside the Senate. Chancellor Kirames Kaj was waiting for us. She was a Togruta and was surrounded by bodyguards. Windu bowed before her, I did the same. "Supreme Chancellor, I was hoping you were coming to meet us, I wanted to discuss protection techniques with you..." His voice trailed off as they moved further away from me. I noticed that 2 of the bodyguards had gone off to the side and were discussing something,

"-just do it!" I heard one of them say,

"Hello, gentlemen!" I said enthusiastically, they stopped talking and turned to me,

"You're a padawan!" said one, "How old are you 10?"

I forced a laugh and rested my hand on my lightsaber, "No actually, I'm 15, 16 in a few weeks!" They looked shocked, "And actually I was the tallest in my class!" That was a bit of a lie but it was worth it to see the look on their faces. "Anyway..." I continued, "What were you two talking about before?" I smiled innocently up at them.

"Nothing, anyway if your going to be keeping an eye on us can we at least know your name?"

I smiled again, "My name is Aris Tyra, and yours?"

They looked reluctant at first but then one of them spoke, "My name's Brushka, that's Merla, now if you'll excuse us we must go to protect the Chancellor," they both gave me a fake smile and then left, quickly walking back over to the Chancellor. I turned on the comm that Windu gave me,

"Windu!" Up ahead I saw him separate from the group,

"What?" came his answers,

"Keep an eye on the bodyguards in the back, their names are Brushka and Merla, they separated from the group and they were talking about doing something," I told him,

"Good job padawan, you keep an eye on them too," the comm crackled off and then there was silence. I saw Windu rejoin the Chancellor and I quickly hurried to join them.

-- NIGHT --

After a long day of walking and standing and listening to countless conversations about the Chancellors safety, we headed home to the Temple. I saw Violet and Yaddle leaving as we arrive, "You two should already be with the Chancellor," said Windu. Violet laughed awkwardly,

"Sorry Master, that's my fault, I fell asleep in the Archives and Master Yaddle couldn't find me," Windu nodded his head and chuckled,

"Understandable," Windu nodded. Violet nodded as well and walked off with Yaddle. "Maybe tell her to watch out for the guards you told me about?" Windu added. I nodded and turned on the comm,

"Violet?" I waited a few seconds before Violet's voice came through the comm,

"Yes?"

"Look out for Brushka and Merla, they are 2 of the Chancellors guards and I heard them talking about doing something,"

"Okie!" the comm went silent and I sighed.

"Let's get some dinner," said Windu and I followed him toward the lift...

Violet POV

"Okie!" I said into the comm and then I turned it off. "Master?" Yaddle looked up at me, "Why exactly do we have to protect the Chancellor?" Yaddle stepped onto the speeder and I followed her,

"Since the attack on the temple, cautious she has been," I had learnt to understand the weird way my Master spoke. I nodded. We stepped off the speeder and was greeted by the Chancellor. Yaddle and I bowed,

"I think it's time for me to retire," said the Chancellor. Yaddle nodded and she followed the Chancellor,

"I'll stay here and check it's safe," I told the group, Yaddle nodded and I looked around hoping that it would look convincing. After a while, I couldn't hear any footsteps. I turned and they were gone. I quickly hid behind a nearby pillar and waited.

A few minutes later I heard hushed voices, I walked out casually and bumped into 2 of the Chancellors guards, "And you are?" I asked them,

They frowned, "I'm Merla, he's Brushka,"

I smiled, "Shouldn't your two be with the Chancellor?" I put my hands on my hips. Brushka and Merla looked around, "What are you looking for?" I asked turning so that I had my back to them. All of a sudden a bag went over my head and two pairs of large hands lifted me.

"You padawans are too nosey!" I heard someone say. I tried to scream but one of them had their hand on my mouth. All I had left was the force, I called through the force to Aris, hoping she would sense me. Then I dropped onto metal and everything went black.

Aris POV

After dinner I had gone to bed, I was half asleep when I felt something through the force, I stood up quickly and began to meditate. It felt like something or someone was in trouble! It was weak but it was there, then it stopped. I rushed out and pounded on Windu's door. "What?" came the sleepy voice from inside.

"Open the door!" I yelled. Some of the Jedi that were still out were staring at me but I didn't care.

"Go back to bed Aris, it can wait till morning!" Windu called. I groaned and ran back into my room. I grabbed my lightsaber and my cloak and ran out of the room again.

"Where is Master Yoda?" I asked a nearby Jedi. He shrugged. I asked three more Jedi before I got an answer,

"Meditating," I thanked Master Plo Koon and ran toward the lift. I changed the number to 6 and the lift went up. When it opened I ran toward the meditation chambers which were right down the end of the long hall. I went in and checked all 6 of them before checking the end one,

"Master Yoda?" I heard something move inside and then the door slid open. There in front of me was Jedi Master Yoda.

"Yes, Padawan Tyra," I nodded out of breath, "Come in, you must," I nodded again and went into the room. The room had two windows, which were both covered by curtains, and two round chairs. I sat on one and Yoda sat on the other.

I tried to calm my racing heart. "I felt something Master Yoda, it felt like someone was calling to me through the force, I think they were in trouble!" Yoda frowned slightly.

"Meditate, we should, feel it again, you may," he said looking at the curtains. I nodded and moved back a bit, crossing his legs. Yoda nodded and did the same. I calmed myself and closed my eyes. Trying to clear my head. After a while, I heard something, it was like someone was screaming and then a large bang silenced them repeatedly. The scream never changed and neither did the bang. The scream sounded eerily familiar. A thought at the back of my head came up,

"It sounds like Violet!" I said opening my eyes. I looked around the dark room. Yoda had gone and I was all alone. I closed my eyes again and meditated for the rest of the night.

-- NEXT DAY --

"Aris?" I heard Windu's voice from outside the room, "There's some news," I got up and went to the door and opened it, "Were you... meditating all night?" he asked. I nodded seriously and sat down as he came into the room, "The Jedi council want you to appear in the next meeting in a few minutes, they have some news," I laughed slightly,

"You talk about the council like you're not on it, but I'll come," Windu nodded and started to leave,

"Ten minutes," he said closing the door, I nodded and went to change quickly.

-- LATER --

As I walked out of my room I straightened my robes and made my way over to Obi-Wan. "The council has requested my presence at their meeting,"

Obi-Wan nodded, "Me too," I was taken aback that Obi-Wan would also be coming, "Shall we go?" Obi-Wan asked, extending his hand, I nodded and took his hand. We headed toward the turbo-lift. Obi-Wan waved his hand over the controls and the number 10 showed up. The door closed and we headed up...
