today i woke up to a giant text from mattia

the whole thing was a huge apology
(ms girl give me an apology video at this point)

i'd give him more credit if he did it in person but he's my neighbor basically
he'll probably come over soon idek

i sat in my thoughts for a while before hearing a knock at my door
i opened it and it was him

y/n: uh hi, come in
he sat at my desk
mattia: did u read my text?
y/n: yes..
we talked about it for a little while

my sensitive ass teared up a small bit but overall i kept it together
just seeing him makes me sad but i held it in

y/n: ok, it's a lot to unpack obviously... and obviously us in a relationship just doesn't work out like i hoped.
i saw him sink into the seat after hearing that
y/n: for now we can be friends if ur cool with that
he nodded sadly
mattia: yeah... that works...

life sucks being 17..

10 years later........

hey! it's y/n but 10 years later
let me catch you up

high school ended on a good note, the whole group graduated together as bffs!

we all left for college after a super fun summer vibing all together
the sad part is that we all went to different colleges all over
we didnt keep in touch at all :(

kairi went to japan for college, i stayed in jersey, des also stayed in jersey but an hour away from me, mattia went to new hampshire, alejandro went to new york, robert and roshaun went to the same one somewhere 2 hours away and alvaro went to florida

i went to that college for 4 (or more if u want) years and became *whatever u wanna be*
since i was still single i rented an apartment near where my parents lived (the same place she was in high school and stuff)

going back to that area reminded me of the group and all the amazing memories
wow it was very nostalgic
i decided to get in touch with them for the first time in years

i texted our old group chat

hey guys it's y/n! remember the jersey group, i came back to the old area and got such flashbacks. i'm sad we don't talk anymore... maybe we should meet someday!?

i sent it and waited for some responses
i was praying they didn't get new numbers and i would never hear from them again

my hopes weren't too high that they would want to be friends again because we were in our mid 20s and they all probably had their lives together

after a couple long hours i got a response

kairi: no way!! i've missed you guys so much, i'd love to get together i have so much to talk about

my heart was happy just to see his name pop up
i was hoping he was just as goofy and funny as he used to be

flash forward to the present
everyone is 28 or 29

and you probably guessed it!
we're all friends now!
everyone came back to jersey after some time and we started hanging out again

me and mattias tension of being "high school sweethearts" dragged us together
we're now married of 2 years and we're thinking of having kids soon
it's crazy how life is

des is dating a guy named rick and he's super funny and kind, he treats her so well! i think he's gonna propose soon!!!

kairi is married to ayiana which i love because they were always meant to be, i could tell. they have 1 son named ryan, he's 6 months old and adorable

alejandro is dating katie pego!!! they've been dating for a few years and i knew it would happen, he's definitely gonna put a ring on it soon :))

everyone else is still single but i'm sure they'll find someone soon

we all live pretty close to eachother and hang out all the time

life really does work out in the end.....
