Chapter eighteen- Epilogue
*Six and a half years Later*
April 1880

December wiped the dirt from her hands onto her apron as she put more flowers from her garden into the basket. She had cut the newly bloomed orange and white tulips for Laura's bouquet. She smiled as she knew her adoptive daughter would love them, tulips were always her favorite. She couldn't believe that her Little Laura was to be a wife, although she was no longer little at the age of nineteen.
She was marring Eli Kipton, a doctor that worked with Daniel at his clinic just outside of Denver City. A sweet man, the whole family approved of.
She knew Laura and Eli would be happy together as she saw the same love in them that she and Daniel shared. And she couldn't help but be excited for the adorable grandchildren they would have for her. With Laura's kind blue eyes and Eli's dark brown hair, or with Eli's rich brown eyes and Laura's light brown hair, their children would be cute either way.
She smiled as the now Seventeen-year-old Jennie joined her in the large flower garden just behind their newly build house. Jennie's hair had become a rich dark brown but her eyes were still the same Blue they had always been.
"I've been looking for you" She said smiling "Wedding guest are starting to arrive and Papa and Finn are still building the wedding arch and Rhiannon can't get Gideon to sit still long enough to get him clothed!"
December smiled and shook her head; their now four-year-old son Gideon was hard to keep in one spot, a wonderer as her mother Abilene called him. Luckily her other two sons Finn and Isaac were much more calm.
She loved her large family she had given birth to Gideon, Isaac and their one-month-old twin daughters Ariel and Abilene whom they all called Arrie and Abbie. And they had adopted four the children of their hearts as they called them. Rhiannon was the first they adopted and only a month later they had adopted Laura and Jennie. Their newest adoption happened only two years ago when they adopted the now eleven-year-old boy Finnegan whom they all just called 'Finn'
She gave Jennie the basket, as they made their way inside the house "Go help Laura get ready tell her I'll be there soon." Jennie nodded and smiled as she ran up the stairs towards her and Laura's room.
December made her way to her and Daniel's room which was on the first floor.
"Mama!" Rhiannon said relieved when she saw her "Gideon won't get dressed, Isaac is still napping and so are the twins!"
"I'm sorry Rhi, why don't you go get ready and help Laura with her hair?"
"Are you sure you wouldn't like my help?" Rhiannon asked edging towards the door.
"I've got it. Besides I'm sure Laura is more than nerves and could use you're help... take her this ribbon" December said pulling the midnight blue ribbon from her dresser "Tie it on her bouquet it can be her something blue."
Rhiannon nodded as she ran from the room.
"Alright Giddy" she said looking at her towheaded son Gideon "Are you going to behave or do I need to call for Papa?"
Gideon smirked reminding her even more of her husband Daniel. His blue eyes sparkled mischievously as they had since he was born; she shook her head at him realizing she would have her hands full with him through the years.
"I'm a good boy." He said still smirking.
"Good, now let's get you dressed." She said.
She had just finished putting him in a suit as Daniel came into the room.
