It was getting late, the sky imbibed a mixture of dark blue and purple, which made Felix think of Changbin's favourite color and how surprised he has been when the boy suddenly spoke so wisely and poetic. The blonde was sitting on the kitchen counter, his head propped on his palms as he got more tired and his phone was situated some meters away from him.
He probably had multiple missed calls by now, his mother was most likely panicking but he just couldn't get himself to pick up or unmute the device. Changbin's previous pleading to stay at their house and not tell anyone where he was, was still playing over and over again in his head. And he for sure knew if he once had his mom on the phone, he wouldn't in a million years get himself to lie to her and even if he'd try to she'd immediately notice.
Felix was never the guy to lie to anyone especially to people who grew close to his heart. It simply played against his strong morals. The last time he lied to his mom was two years ago when he wanted to bake brownies but left them into the oven for too long so they got burned and his mother scolded him for it.
So he tried to lie how he was just watching over his sister even tho he was playing uno with a friend and lost which made him angry angry and forget about his brownies.
Long story short. His sister wasn't even in their city at all around this time.
His foot tapped repeatedly against the floor and his eyes now darted to the stair case as he sighed and his feet somehow transported him upstairs. He wasn't even nosy or anything but just deeply worried, so he needed to find answers even if he didn't want to.
Stopping in front a door he thought was Minho's, Felix hesitantly lifted his arm to knock on the door but stumbled back in surprise as the door suddenly got opened from the inside and a fuming looking person glared right at him. "I JUST FUCKING TOLD YOU I CAN'T—Ohh..."
Minho's expression suddenly fell, embarrassed by how he just spoke to the younger, scratching his neck. "Sorry, didn't know you're still here."
Felix only nodded shyly, still awkwardly standing in the hall, waiting. "Uhm...yeah...I...They took him to the hospital."
The older curtly nodded, avoiding Felix eyes as he walked past him, signaling the younger to follow him , which he did.
Some hours ago when Minho speeded up the stairs he didn't notice the injury but now upon seeing how the older slightly limped with his right leg it was obvious that he got hurt too.
To Felix' surprise Minho didn't walk down to the kitchen or the living room how he assumed but walked into Changbin's room, or to be more precise into the large white room with the window front. "...uhm...is it okay to be here?" the younger hesitatingly asked and only earned a threatening glare.
"That's seriously your concern? I thought you want answers, don't you?" Minho's eyes knitted, making him look more intimidating but also got softer after he noticed how scared the younger looked under his pressure. He didn't have any intention of doing so.
Felix only curtly nooded, slightly too afraid to question why he even knew what the boy came for in the first place.
Minho took this as a sign and made his way to the sofa where he kneeled onto and suspiciously began removing a small painting from the wall above that Felix hadn't noticed before.
It was surely beautiful, but really sad as well. A lonely landscape, painted mostly in darker shades of purple and gray and in the foreground there could be seen a lonely boy, his head down, hugging the air. It almost looked like he assumed someone was there but in reality he was all at his own. Had Changbin maybe even painted this one?
