Korra's POV

"MOM! HAVE YOU SEEN MY CAP!?" I yell as I bury myself in my closet throwing things everywhere.

I hear my mom yell back, "It should be on your door hook sweetie!"

With a groan, I come out of the closet (pun intended :D) and walk over to my open door and pull it closed. Long behold what I was looking for, about 10 minutes, was hanging there in its bright white glory. Another groan escaped my mouth as I took it off its hook and headed out to the living room where my family waited.

"Found it?" Kai asks as I walk in fixing my gown for the 3rd time in less than 30 minutes.

I hold it up with a cheeky grin as I look at the rest of my family. "You all look amazing!" I chime with a smile.

I got my parents attention and I could see my mom's eyes start to swell with tears as my dad grinned wildly. He quickly closed the gap between us and engulfed me in a tight hug. I could hear my mom silently gasp and I knew then she had broken the small barrier she had to hold her tears in. Pulling away from my dad and looking at her with a sad smile.

"You've grown up so much..." She croaked.

I pull her into a tight hug. "I'm still your little girl, momma." I exhale, forcing the tears not to fall.

Seconds later two more warm bodies joined in the embrace for a few minutes. I smile brightly as I pull away from my family when my phone starts buzzing on the coffee table. Walking over to see my beautiful girlfriend calling, answering immediately.

"Hey beautiful. What can I do for you this fine evening?" I tease hearing her giggle through the phone.

<Hi baby. What're you doing? You're late.> she says.

"I've been looking for my cap. Found it like 2 minutes ago. Why?"

<The Krew is already at the café. We're just waiting for you for grad pictures.> She responds and I hear some chatting in the background.

I look at the clock. "Shoot. I'll be there in 5 minutes."

<Okay! See you soon. I love you!>

"I love you."

Call Disconnected

I go to grab my keys from the key hook near the entrance and put my showers on before rejoining my family in the kitchen.

"Hey. I'll see you guys after the ceremony. The Krew and I are going to go take some pictures at the café before we have to be at the high school." I state, grabbing a water bottle out of the fridge.

Mom was the first to respond. "Be safe. And please don't be late. Asami and Opal need to be there earlier than the rest of you, remember."

I internally roll my eyes. "Yes mama, I know. We'll be there." I smile before turning to Kai. "Do you want to come? Jiji is taking the pics for us."

"Yeah I'll come. Let me grab my coat and I'll meet you in the car." Kai says going back to his room.

I kiss my parents good-bye for now and get into my car. I text the group that we're on our way and will be there in about 5 to 10 minutes. I plug in my AUX and play some music as Kai finally joins me and we head off.

"When do you leave for BMU?" he asks after a few minutes.

I glance at him before focusing back on the road. "In a month so I can start summer practice with the team."
