"What did you do!? You were gone for 2 DAYS!"
"Okay...coach...it's not as bad as it looks.." Korra stumbled out nervously, rubbing her neck.
Asami spoke up as she put their bags on the bench,"It's definitely as bad as it looks." under her breath.
Su shot her head towards Asami in a shocked glare as Korra turned to Asami from her comment. "Sami!"
"Hehe...sorry" she responded back before Korra turned back to her coach.
"Look...I'll be fine in 2 weeks, 3 the latest and if what I hear is correct. That's just enough time for me to get better before or first match for the tourney." Korra stated, trying to ease the tension.
"It better be, scouts are coming for you, Opal and the other seniors on the team. We're the team to watch, you know that." Su said, crossing her arms, looking down at the nervous teen after what she said.
Korra's face fell to the floor. "Yeah, I know coach..."
Su looked at the teen in front of her who looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She carefully placed a hand on Korra's lower head, patting it a bit. "Just focus on getting better. Opal and the others can cover everything else." She said reassuringly as she patted her head.
"Thanks..." Korra said a little more at ease before joining Asami on the bleachers.
Korra laid her head on Asami's lap as she lay length wise of the bleacher on her right side to watch practice. Asami lovingly ran her hands through Korra's chestnut hair and read her mechanics book. She would secretly make small glances and see the saddened eyes of the girl and immediately went to comfort her.
"Talk to me..." Asami said, placing the book down and facing Korra. "What's on your mind?"
*Sigh* "A lot...I don't know where to start..." Korra said while sitting up close to the heiress.
"Why not start with Kai..."
Korra turned to Asami in shock. "How did you..."
"Babe..." She says, giving her the look of "Are you seriously gonna ask me that?"
Korra nods her head in realization. "Well...I'm just worried about how he'll do with baseball, Iroh and his friends picking on him...we both know why he did it..."
"Kai will be fine, Korra...Iroh is just being a jackass. If Kai is anything like you, he'll be nothing less than amazing and you know that." she said getting a few nods from Korra before she looked down to her hands in her lap. "What else is on your mind?"
"Volleyball, the tourney, my parents..."
"Anything else?"
"...our anniversary." Korra mumbled out, shyly looking at Asami with a red face.
Asami blushed at the last comment then grabbed Korra's hand with a loving smile. "Don't worry about our anniversary just yet, I know what day it falls onto and we'll work it out later. Okay?"
Korra smiled in relief giving Asami a kiss on the cheek earning a giggle. "Thank you, princess..." she sighed out.
"No need to thank me...now what about volleyball and your parents?"
"Well you heard coach, scouts are coming but not just college scouts...our national team scouts as well. Looking for candidates for the youth national team and our team is the team to watch!" Korra let out in frustration and fear looking towards her team doing some hitting and passing drills.
"Hey it's going to be fine. It's only been a day since our fight and you can already lift your right arm all the way up without hurting or reopening the cut on your rib. Everything will be okay. You already know your talent is known everywhere...you literally got calls from colleges when you just became our team's ace and captain sophomore year. I doubt a little set back like this *gestures to korra's injuries* can do much to your talent..." Asami stated with a smile.
