Korra's POV

"Is everything ok?" I questioned as I glanced between her dad and mom.

My dad had a very stern look on his face and he didn't move his gaze from me at all. I started freaking out and looked down at my banana in my hand.

'Did I do something? Did I forget to take out the trash again? Is it my grades?! Wait why would it be my grades, school just started! WHAT! IS! HAPPENING!' I thought as I was internally panicking on the chair, bouncing my foot up and down.

Mom must've realized how nervous and panicked I became because she rushed to my side, giving me a side hug. Rubbing her hand up and down my arm to calm me down and glaring at her husband, Tonraq, who was trying to hold in a laugh.

"Korra! Korra! You aren't in trouble, I promise. Tonraq stop freaking her out!" Korra's mom said, still holding Korra tight.

My tense shoulders relaxed after hearing what mom said. I slowly started breathing normally again and looked at my mom with a smile then turning to my dad and glared at him. Which only made him laugh and try saying sorry through it all.

"We just have something important to talk to you about is all," said the loving mother as she let her daughter go and went back to her husband.

Tonraq stopped and gained his composure before saying,"Korra we're needed back in the South. We're leaving this weekend."

I sat there shocked, processing what her father just said before standing and yelling,"WHAT!"

"I know. I know. It's your senior year and school just started and I'm sorry. We just found out this afternoon." said my father calmly.

"EXACTLY! IT'S MY SENIOR YEAR! I--," I stopped yelling so I wouldn't get in trouble for raising my voice later then continued,"Sorry, it's my senior year. I can't just leave Asami, my friends, my team! The state tournament starts in a couple of weeks! What about Kai!"

"I understand that this isn't the best of timing but we are needed in the South and your father already said we'd be on our way soon," my mother said with a sad smile.

'This isn't fair! I can't just move away from everything I have here just because my parents say so. What about Asami? Mako and Bolin? Opal and the team?! I can't just leave all of them to 'start new' and from scratch in the South.' I thought, my mind running on full throttle as I texted '911' to the Krew.

My parents were talking but it was all a blurry and my phone was going off. I told them i was moving before turning my phone off. My head was running through so many scenarios that would turn up with the next words I'd choose to say. I was mad, frustrated, sad and worried. 'God my head hurts' I thought as I held my head in my hands leaning on the table in front of me. Then an idea came to mind.

"Why can't Kai and I just stay, you two can go back to the South." I asked nervously waiting for what the response would be.

Mom and dad looked at each other. Hopefully taking it into consideration. Yes I'm only 17 but I turn 18 in less than two months, no one would care. I look between my parents waiting for a response. My phone was blowing up but I silenced it and put it in my back pocket.

"Are you sure? Will you behave yourself? Finish homework, chores, groceries and anything else?" my dad asked, taking it into consideration.

"Tonraq, she's only 17. We can't just leave them here. They're minors." said my mom.

"I turn 18 in less than 2 months. I doubt anything will happen especially with school starting, tournaments and stuff." I said trying to secure this suggestion with hope in my eyes.
